In a word:  Creepy.

Ive never seen so many fetishes and sex services offered as this country.  Its like all that outer politeness during their normal lives gets so pent up that it releases itself in some weird stuff.

I mean look at some of this stuff....eating sushi off a womens pussy...girls posting services at phone booths to just dress up as little girls and hold your hand and do date walks...porn directors walking shibuya street for new talent...blow job stores...porn where girls let guys piss in their mouth...porn where guy will eat shit et etc..a little perverted

the very definition of ethnocentric is to evaluate other cultures based on our own standards.  Would I let a women piss in my mouth - no, I don't get off on that.  If that does it for someone who am am to tell them not to do it.  I'm sure American's are viewed in perverted ways by other cultures.  It is very interesting to get a peek into other cultures though.

Never been there and definitely not a lawyer but I read somewhere recently that all these fetish type services are not, at least in law, considered prostitution. Prostitution is sex for sale and in Japan sex is defined as intercourse.  

Seems like there's the law aspect that conflicts a bit with the social view -- if everyone's view was that if the girls are not having sex (oral, petting and other activities we'd generally call sex) it's not prostitution then I don't think they would see themselves as shamed or be shunned by society (parent maybe...).

That said, if the young girls are getting into something that then locks them into a life they really don't like it's a good effort to shed light on the problem and to have people working to offer alternatives.

As for perversions, years ago, probably in my early 20s a friend told me a story about some guy whose dream was to be buried in a coffin with a tube leading to his mouth so his girl friend could piss in it and he then drink it until he died. This was in the USA. It's a weird world.

I have made 40+ trips to Japan over about 3 decades, and while it's true that Japanese men tend to be a bit more pervy than your average American male, the idea that these girls are being "forced" into this is ludicrous. ..and not likely going away soon. Japan's attitude towards sex is that it's a bodily function, like eating and drinking. Sometime ago, there were "telephone clubs" where the practice of "enjo kosai" ("aid and acquaintance"), in other words trade Chanel purse for action. The age of consent was 12 until not too long ago (maybe 15-20 years ago).  

Final thing...make no mistake, Japan is a mafia state. Been run by the Yakuza for centuries. Going to take a lot of heat for this to go away. I don't think it's going away...not in a country where teenagers can pose almost naked.
