...the Seattle situation and K-girls in general. They interviewed one of the Seattle bookers. He was originally a client, but fell in love with a K-girl. He was told the woman was in debt back in Korea, so he decided to leave his family and his job to become her booker in order to help her make money.
He ended up operating two apartments there, and said his job was to book clients for the women working in his locations. But he said that as time went on, he began to get to know the women and learn more about why they were selling sex.
“Some of them just want to start a business,” he said. “Some of them, their families will get hurt or, you know, death … One girl actually in particular told me that. I asked her why she doesn't just run and she said she tried, and they find them.”
He repeatedly said he regrets getting involved in the business because he said he saw firsthand the damage it could do. “You feel like the piece of the soul from the girl is gone,” he said.
But the booker also said the K-girls are NOT trafficked, despite what the cops and the crusading District Attorney think. The booker said: “They're moving on their own, they’re not being held captive in what one would think of as being held captive. Nobody is holding their passports.”
There was also someone from an anti-trafficking group who said some K-girls are victims of "debt bondage." He said: “Debt bondage is different from debt. It’s a particular kind of predatory manipulative debt, where fees and interest rates and other hidden costs and all these things kick into gear, so … the debt grows faster than the person can pay it off."
"You’ve got women being recruited from South Korea, usually told lies about what they’re going to be doing here in the United Sates, usually held in some kind of debt. And then you have these customers that are coming and buying sex from these women who think that the women are there voluntarily. But the customers don’t understand the full picture.” I don't think HE understands the full picture - he's an anti-trafficking activist with an ax to grind.
This kind of scenario doesn't appear too often. Usually girls just come here to make money. (Older)
I believe that the program you're referring to was a repeat of the infamous 2015 Seattle bust. Nevertheless, it shows the need to be careful, especially if you are going to socialize with other hobbyists. For the most part I don't think that other than PM's and/or board posts there are too many Kgirl aficionados that interact with other hobbyists. It's not part of the Kgirl scene, but I personally am leery of the "meet and greet" venues that are around. Always take care and err on the side of caution. Good post, BP. Ciao!

Of course, we in L.A. were fortunate to have Bond007 to host the M&Gs for several years. He screened everyone like crazy to make sure everyone who came wasn't LE or bad actors.
Those morons in Seattle met in a public restaurant and were overheard (by their disgusted waitress) discussing women. They were dumb or cocky and allowed the cops to infiltrate their group.
Bond or anyone else that organizes M & G's, these Seattle guys were busted because they relied on someone else's diligence to keep them safe. I don't ever meet other hobbyists in person unless they are guys I have PERSONALLY vetted to my own satisfaction. I'm never going to be in a room with hobby people that I don't already know. Its an unnecessary risk.
This video is originally from the spring of 2015 a few months after the Seattle bust. A lot of what they are claiming has been debunked by later investigative reporters that followed the cases for over a year. A link was posted here about a year ago, but subsequently removed for some reason. The followup showed that the cases against all but a couple of the guys arrested were falling apart. One guy who's life was destroyed committed suicide.

Yes, this was the article that was here for awhile last year that put everything into proper perspective and showed what a con-job LE pulls on the public with the sex-trafficking claims on these kinds of cases.

Not sure that really should make them panic likely sleep much better. Cooked charged are seldom any better than the well earned ones and their lives will likely be largely ruined from the disclosure and their natural sensitivity of such publicity.

reminds me of the new story about the K-Pop industry where the the promoters would provide support and training for the girls but some that couldn't cut it then faced penalties of up to three times what the promotion company actually spent on them.
The Korean courts recently (past 3 or 4 months I think) banned the practice saying they could on claw back what they actually spent which could amount to 50 million Won.
