Every now and then on TER I see reviews for Asian/Korean providers who are more expensive than our K-girls, e.g. 400 and up, with the majority of reviews never going below 9s and 10s. I was curious whether the increase reflects a meaningful upgrade in appearance, performance or both relative to our 250 K-girls. I am very happy with our K-girls so don't read this as some kind of indirect criticism of K-girls. If this question has come up before, sorry, let me know and I will do a search instead.

More commonly, these higher priced girls are independent providers, and the typical price range is $400 to $600 per hour (sometimes with price breaks on multiple hour sessions), with a few going higher. These girls are often US citizens, born here, and speak perfect English even though their heritage is Korean. (The same holds true for some American-born Chinese, Viet and Thai providers that charge more than agency girls.)
I have seen several of these indies over the years, and the only disadvantage is the price. Obviously, you don't get as much bang for your buck. Its hard to justify in the beginning paying the same for one hour with an indie that would get you either two hours or a one-hour double with agency girls.
The first advantage is that these girls are lower volume, so even if you can only see a girl in the evenings, you are not going to get someone who is worn out from already seeing six guys before you. Anybody that is put off by only a ten or fifteen minute breaks by agency girls would find the lower volume (and longer breaks between customers) inviting.
Another advantage is that it is more of a courtesan experience because their English is usually as good as yours, allowing for a level of playfulness and connection that is not possible with many of the FOTB Kgirls because of their lack of understanding of English. This also makes for longer dates being more common, so most of these girls will book four hour or overnight sessions in addition to one or two hours.
It is a different experience, not for everyone, but should be tried at least once so you have a frame of reference for the future.
Sometime I will try a few to get that frame of reference. I do have the feeling that I will conclude that the reviews are inflated and the increase in $$$ is not worth it, but you are right, I should find out for myself.

Perspective, a full-blooded Korean girl born in the US is not really a Kgirl? I believe about every ten minutes here a newbie asks what a "Kgirl" is, and the chorus sings out "Korean girl." Maybe we should start calling the recent arrivals IKgirls, or Imported Korean Girls? But then what about the indie girl I used to see that came here when she was 5? She's still imported, but grew up here speaking English. You're going to make this confusing for old guys like me.

Inflated scores for indies. It's human nature to not want to look like a fool when it comes to money, so when many hobbyists pay $500, it seems like they are often handing out 10's to justify the expenditure to themselves and others.
She had no reviews, she had no presence on the boards. MIT was strictly TOFTT.... her fee was $185, and some expenses had tightened the cash spigot, so....
I got to her place and a DDG Model - 5'10", 125, jet black hair, black eyes - opened the door. She was shy and reserved, and for $185 I expected FBSM only.... wrong! She blew me, caressed me, fucked me silly and kept me there 1.5 hrs at least. Saw her 4-5 times, then, POOF, she vanished, alas.....
My point is this: she was born in Korea, arrived in the USA at 15, was about 22 when I saw her, and was the most exquisite provider I ever saw, and second in passion and skills only to C Girl Emily, and never thought of charging 400-500-600, which she was worth....
The avg K Girl is a bargain, a treasure, and an amazing value, and those GPS K and other Asian gals can stuff it.

Being Korean is only part of being a K-Girl, A big part I will concede as you can't be a K-Girl without being Korean, but still only a part of being a K-Girl
Disagree Georgia. She might not have started out as an indy, but in all the time I've known her (nine years) Heather/ Su Young/ Victoria has been her own boss. And she very definitely is a K-Girl, one of LA's all time greats, in my opinion.

The mind is a very strange thing that must have a, for lack of a better word, mind of it's own as the explanations for paying double and more and then announcing to the world you did by rating the looks and performance as superior to all others just don't make sense to me.

In my humble opinion K-girls are the closest you can come to heaven while on earth. My civilian viet girlfriend just dumped me because she couldn't handle me still being married and was falling for me. Off to my steady kgirls I go to find what I just lost.
NY has some hi-end KMP places in the 4-5 range. There is the appearance of near-independence but also the protective cover an agency ad and booker. My ATATATATF (all time, all time, all time, all time fave) was with a hi-end near-indy agency at 4. She and others in that bracket are from K, limited English, follow the SOP, have EXCELLENT skills and tour away from NY or retire.
I know at least one non-GFE KMP girl from K who came to the US during high school and attended US high school ... but her English is still not so good. Sometimes, she offers GFE, when she travels and sometimes in NY.
Some girls come from K for college (easy student visa) or other non-hobby reasons and stay on after graduating or dropping out. Their English is usually better and they know more about American culture and "survival" and they are able to operate as real indies, with no adherence to the popular SOP (and often with no awareness of it!) and often without any resemblance to a "real" K-girl.
East and West coasts have some similarities but also some differences and, I think, the generalizations are weak but a useful guide.
For me, the non-GFE KMPs and low end GFE KMPs are usually VERY satisfying. If not, my losses are small. Some of my hi-end experiences have been no better than the low end but a few have been memorable, fantastic events.

By this, I mean that while they have flaws - scripts, ltd English -- they are Uh-Maz-Ing: fit, fun, game for nearly anything, and usually beautiful.

I should have listened to this advice. I have been putting in the hours and now I can't seem to get rid of this smile at work. People are starting to notice!
