Can't remember the name of the place, but just off the main boulevard -- a ritzy shopping street you can't miss that runs from the central train station to the lake (the equivalent of Rodeo Drive in 90210)is a "gentleman's club" type establishment where you go in and watch beautiful strippers come out and dance.  The similarity with Deja Vu Showgirls in North Hollywood ends right there.  When you fancy one of the dancers, you call the maitre d' over and tell him you would like to buy the lady a drink.  He will say the lady only drinks champagne, which, bottle depending, will cost something between 50 and 125 dollars US (Zurich is the second most expensive burg in the world after Tokyo, this will NOT be good champagne).  You say fine.  The lady comes over, you drink and chat.  You like her close up, decide to take it the next step.  You and the lady confer and decide on a price, something between $$ and $$$ and the maitre d' calls you a cab which whisks you and your date to your hotel or to the lady's place (depending on the arrangement you two have made), whereupon you pay her and have your fun.  Other clubs of this type exist in the same neighborhood, and there are lower end type bars with small nasty stages and sleazy hotels next door in dodgier zones of the city.  If you pick up any visitor's guide magazine -- even the glossy ones at the nice hotels -- the higher end places will be listed under "entertainment."  The pics of the girls are always posted on the walls outside the clubs and they are a relatively accurate reflection of what you'll find inside.  The advantage to these places over an escort service is that you have a wide range of choices and absolutely know whom you are getting.  There are also a few red light streets just off the main shopping areas on the left side of the river where you can see girls hanging out windows in classic European fashion.  Zurich is AIDS central because of liberal attitudes toward junkies there, so I wouldn't recommend anything but eyeballing on those streets.  Be safe, have fun, send postcard.
