Tokyo has an active but incredibly expensive nightlife. Most of the foreigners hang around Roppogi but I don't like it particularly. There are a lot of nude massage places & "Estee" places around Shinjuku (the area is called "Kabuki-cho") and they do speak English. Tokyo is such a big city that you need to narrow the geography down a bit - tell me where you are staying and I can help you [I lived there many years...]
One of the nice things about Japan are the so-called "Love Hotels" which offer rooms by the 1/2/4 hours that are clean and quite often themed (ranging from a dungeon to Snow-White's bedroom). These hotels don't come equipped with partners for the tired executive, but they have means of assisting the lonely.
I did some web searching and it would seem that some places outside of Roppongi cater to gaijin - but the web sites are in Japanese. I would recommend Kabukicho (5 minute walk from Shinjuku station) -Shiro
If you search this board and go back to the beginning of the year, someone posted the name of a website that has detailed information about the Far East.
And as Shiro said, the one problem is finding places that welcome gaijin (foreigners).
