I've tried posting on a regional board and been denied as being in "the wrong place". But also have no tour dates so was denied posting on the corresponding buzz board.

It's been discussed a few times, but TER is not what it used to be for a variety of reasons related to FOSTA/SESTA, pandemic, OF, Twitter, sugar, rise of no review policy, increased hostility on the boards (which mirrors general online discourse). It's likely that many old friends of yours also retired either from the hobby or TER.
Maybe you can post in buzz with possible tour dates?
