No, photos are not necessary in all but the most unusual circumstances.
Providers are much more concerned with how they are treated than how you look(hygene included)

Be very careful!  Vegas is the home of some of the best providers in the business, but it's also home to the most blatant rip-offs you can imagine.

  Stay away from agencies, the phone book (seriously...over 100 pages of escorts), hand-out cards, bar girls, streetwalkers, etc.  If you don't have a membership on TER, the $20 a month is the best investment you can make.
