St. Andrews is a very small town that is really far from London (think Chicago to New York).  You can easily get to Edinburgh or Dundee by train (although you need to take a bus or a cab between the St Andrews train station and the actual town).  Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the largest city there, so it's probably your best bet.  Prostitution is decriminalized in the UK, so ads are more likely to be legit than in the US.  Try googling Edinburgh escorts for a start.
