Years ago (yes when it was still part of the UK) I went and I did not have to go far.  I was at a top notch hotel (the one where you are picked up in a Rolls) and I requested a massage.  It was a very nice massage and the lady made it clear it could be much more.  Alas, these were the days I did not hobby so I will never know but I kick myself to this day.  Maybe it was the look in my eye (or just a single man travelling) but then the concierge, after a brief chat, made it clear he could send me to the right places and even arrange for someone to come to the hotel.  The prices were low...but I didn't partake.  HK, and much of the Orient has a tradition of hostess nightclubs.  You buy drinks and tip the hostesses for dances.  This is not expensive and you really get to look and see before you partake.  You can also just go home after a lot of flirting which still feels fine.  Take a look at the link below.  
As a final note...I think it is time for TER to go international.  I travel a lot but have never found a site as useful as TER for overseas.

You really don't have that much in the way of choices for top level independants, and I'll get into that in a second. Your best bet is to stay in/near the Wanchai district, and stay away from the girlie bikini and topless/hostess bars, as they're a rip off. Go to a regular bar, preferably a bar/nigh club catering to westerners, and it should be chock full of willing choices that would be good. The going rate when I last went was $500 for the overnight. You will find mainland Chinese, Thai, and Mongolian ladies. You would be shocked how awesome they look. Independants are rare, and hidden, because the above routine is run by syndicates that pay off the political offials, and they are sure not to allow independants. Sorry but the truth. Find a club, buy a beer, and wait for them to come up to you.
