All providers I've seen have started with email, and then switched over to text/phone. One time my phone wasn't accepting texts from her, so we used email for everything, but some girls DO want the final contact to be with phone call or text, so work that out up front and don't wait until the day of, else you might be disappointed.

Clients used it as a way to get to connect to me even though they couldn't see me in person. BTW, it's really fun connecting with clients this way.
