A while ago, someone posted info on not getting busted. I thought they had explained how to delete the site visits that appear in the Location field of the browser. Can anyone explain this to me again? Thanks!Joe

Works great, but you need the registered version to clean drop down window.  See link.Related link:  http://www.webroot.com--modified by Papercup at Tue, Aug 15, 2000, 19:05:36

Joe,If you are using Netscape then you can clean the location bar by  doing the following:click Editclick PreferencesNavigatorClick Clear History buttonclickClear Location BarHope this helpsPaco

Thanks Paco,The only thing is, under Edit/Preferences/Navigator there is no Clear Location Bar selection. There is a Clear History bar, but no Location bar...How do I make that appear? Thanks!Joe

Joe,You must be using an older version of Netscape! Not to worry.  go to the drive where netscape is installed:Look under\programfiles\netscape\users\joeNote Joe is the user name that you use for your netscape profile.look for a file called netscape.hstyou can delete this file or edit out the offending sites. If you do not want the site to be recorded on the location bar.open netscape and visit a safe site like Yahoo, then go to the File /new / navigator window.any URL that you type on the second window will not be recorded.I hope this helps!!Sin no more my son (hehehehehe)!!Paco

Partially. My pc would not let me delete that file, nor could I open it up to edit. Sorry for the late reply, any other suggestions? Thanks!Joe

Joe,That file should not be protected, but in case it is change the attributes so that it is unportected and delete it.If you are useing Windows NT make sure that you have administrative rights to your computer.Paco
