A friend of mine recommended that I might want to get out of Oregon and check out Chicago.I have traveled quite a lot,but have never visited that one city.Can anyone give me some info on how well the sites work?And I also was told about some kind of magazine that is used to "get the word out."

Haven't been in the hobby for a while, begining to research again.  I think your best bet is search the Chicago reviews here, and the others.  

I believe the publication you are refering to is the 'Chicago Reader'.  It has an adult services section, available mostly downtown in music stores etc, but has a website with a pretty reasonable (like $5 a month) email service for the adult classifides.  Hope this helps.
