Men would eat fruit with every meal the day before and morning of their date. This would ensure he was irresistibly delicious and good to the last drop.    

He'd make sure his nails were smooth and free or callouses. The day of he'd be freshly showered (and trimmed) or the initiator of some shower play. He knows it's the best way to get attention to every nook, bulge and cranny.

And he'd run by the ATM or bank en route, ensuring he had exactly what he'd be willing to part. He'd know no one wants to have to "make change" and doing so can be both irritating and risky for a provider.  He also knows that a card has to be read and it offers the provider an opportunity to "discover" the gift inside (under an appropriate auspice too!).

Now anything that even begins to approach the ideals listed above would be appreciated and rewarded by me.

So that's my three. Were we allowed four, I'd have to add - bring extra covers, because some are sensitive/allergic and should plan ahead.
