You got to remember three things before a flood.

Number 1. Terrain
Number 2. Elevation above sea level
Number 3. Based on number 1 and 2, will my area flood and how fast?

Thankfully, I was in between apartments and I gathered my belongings and headed to the Mainstay at 288 and Old Spanish Trail. The floorboard of my car was wet but that can be taken care of. I started up a fundraiser for the Houston Foodbank on Facebook and the only donor was, your’s truly...lol!  Oh well, I even offered up my living room in the 2 room suite I had for about a week and apparently no one was interested or was in that dire of need.
I remember I was about to run out of food when the roads cleared and I mosied on over to Scott st (yes rough area) on the opposite side of 288 and it was like seeing a mirage in the desert except it was real - a huge bbq pit fulll of every different type of Boudain, steak, chicken, pork, etc. posted up in the parking lot of a walgreens. That was the best bbq I have ever eaten.

Sending out well wishes for those that may get affected by the Hurricane. Houston is in my thoughts!

Stay safe,
Adrienne

But I do hope everyone is safe? I have friends in Houston who thankfully are safe xxxx

I gave to The Red Cross ,,

I know it seems odd timing but there's a lot of people here that could use a lift.  No body is coming to town , maybe even 🎅

I'm thirsty inthe street terminology!!
