I just got an email from a provider I've never heard of, or communicated with trying to get me to sponsor her trip to Florida by buying her a plane ticket. She admits she doesn't know me, or even where I live, but goes on to say that any appointment I make with her will automatically be extended at no extra cost....no picture included. What's up with this new wrinkle? Anyone else get unsolicited email offers? I won't reply to the email to determine how she got my email address, but it's puzzling and a little creepy.

Did she really contact you by email and not TER PM??  If so, I would be very nervous.  I would also certainly be skeptical about her intentions.

With regards to responding, I guess it would depend on 1) If she is very well reviewed on TER and 2) If you are concerned enough to find out how she got your private info.

Tough call.  But you are experienced enough to know to be cautious.

I bet if she was well reviewed on TER, she wouldn't be contacting anyone out of the blue asking them to sponsor a trip... this sounds ridiculous! (not your post dblhappy, but the situation)

You should probably offer to let her stay at your place too, maybe take her out for dinner a few times. She will most likely need a car, so you better rent one for her. And you won't want to be around for her appointments, so you'll need to stay at a hotel.

You're right, sounds a little creepy.

I remember getting some of those e-mail scams but they were for a lot more money than just $20M.

Ukraine????  LOL  They have that cool scam where they want someone to bring them to the US.  Maybe he dumped her, and now she wants to move to FL.
Maybe you have a partially paid for "mail order provider" LOL   The only word I can think of to help is DELETE!!!! :-X
