Rates are softer during the off-season in SoFla & most girls scramble to keep their heads above water til season starts. I've noticed that in the Tampa area, several girls have 2 hr minimums for $500-700 ... a subtle rate increase. I believe in the free marktet...they can charge as much as the market will bear... but I choose NOT to see these girls. Their TER ratings are no better than others who charge less & don't have a 2-hr min.

Wow...at least someone spoke up about this. I too have noticed that some of the providers are slowly increasing their rates as well...what was 250/hr are now 300/350/hr. I mean c'mon ladies...I personally would spend more $$ seeing you but at those rates I just simply refuse. Thanks tpnparadise for simply stating what a bunch of us feel.
Well guys here is a comment from a working lady.. Maybe we do not want people who are willing to pay only $250 an hour that is why we have a 2 hour rate? And maybe we supply an upscale hotel ect..... Maybe we want the upscale professional .. Some women are not looking for the quick 1 hour appointment, or the 1/2 hour appointment, just like you guys, we have the type of client we are seeking,you guys can complain all you want, but there are men out there that prefer a woman who charges more and sees less men everyday! Some men are not into the quick 1 hour appointments, Some men are uncomfortable going into a situation where a woman is seeing a bunch of men everyday, and they do not mind paying more for someone discreet!! I charge even more that what you guys are talking about, you would have a heart attack it I said what my rate was. But I do get my cleints, and So do the others. and some providers are not into seeking a bunch of men everyday! and want quality money, and a generous client that can afford to pay more and give generous gifts ect.... So if you do not want to see these women because of the high prices, keep it to yourself and see someone cheaper and you will be happy with your choice and so will us working girls. But it is not nice to cut someone down, because it is out of your price range! We do not cut you down on the message boards.
This is exactly why I tour. Too many girls and a soft market. Add the extra scrutiny the LE puts on Tampa above what is happening elsewhere. I'm sorry, but I'm not discounting my rate with those risks. I'll go on the road first and tour where guys DO appreciate the service I offer at the donation I ask and I don't have you know who breathing down my neck all the time. You can refuse all you want. Doesn't bother me at all. I'll just take my services elsewhere.

The rates he is complaining about are not that different than anywhere else.
If he doesn't wish to "contribute the going rate" then, that's his choice. His choices will be very limited, and I suppose he will complain about that.
There seems to be an awful lot of complaining about rates, "quality", reviews, etc. lately.
This is a business, if you can't, or won't, afford to pay the price, you don't play. It's that simple.
Complaining about it only shows people what an immature whiner he really is.

Here is what you had to say about the local market 2 months ago when someone else made a similar fair and balanced observation:
"African farmer sells his farm to go mining for diamomds. Meanwhile the man who bought the farm stumbled on the largest diamond mine in the world, right on the farm. I'm planning a trip to Tampa & have identified at least 8 diamonds there & at least that many more diamonds in the rough. I've had a difficult time narrowing it down to my top 3 to contact. Perhaps ya need to open your wallet a little wider cuz there are gems available."

My response to complaints of no local talent in Tampa is different than this observation on 2-hr minimums ... but thanks for remembering.
I have spent as much as $1200 for an hour date so my observation has nothing to do with what I can afford, as some are trying to frame the issue.
Girls who travel face the rate issue everywhere ... we don't operate in a bubble ... friends from DC to LA constantly "complain" on this board & elsewhere about rates going up with no corresponding increase in service level, as judged by TER & other reviews.
IMHO, most girls who constantly travel do so because they can't build a consistent local clientel base, not because guys elsewhere are willing to pay more (they aren't!). Travelers face a much higher no-show problem than locals that don't, as well.
Girls are free to charge whatever the market will bear but can't avoid 2 consequences ... the higher the rate the more restricted their market becomes and the louder the reaction from those of us who find plenty of girls with as-good-or-better reviews who charge less.
My observation is simply that a relative few are requiring 2-hr minimums & this is a subtle rate increase. This is may or may not be a trend ... time will tell ... but friends across the country have noticed isolated instances of this, too, & reacted similarly.
Guys you have to realize when a woman travels, she has her hotel expense, airfare, or gas if traveling by car.. The girls that work from their apartments can afford to cut the rates, they have less expense.. And as far as regulars, they do not stay around long like the old days,,, there are so many to chose from that you guys try most of them.. ANd yes when I am traveling, I get a high price because I am new in town,, and offer a lot of dinner dates not just quickies... Im Not trying to insult anyone but sometimes I read the message boards and reviews, and I have seen the worst out of shape women, not attractive at all get a raiting of a "10" from the men just because she give bbbj, or all those other things... Some people think that it is getting their money's worth,, I think it is putting your wife or girlfriends health at risk..... But Men will be men right?? You can be the best lookiing girl out there, but If you are not the GFE experience you will get raited a 5....... People that have to bikker about the price, maybe really can not afford to be doing this? The old saying goes, if you have to ask the price you can not afford it...
I am just here on vacation in ft lauderdale and have noticed a soft maket here but not in my home town of chicago. But I have my regulars there. I can understand both sides of the coin. But we in the business have to be prepare for soft markets when they come.

Do you go to the Mercedes Dealer and complain that his cars cost more than Chevrolets?? It's really quite simple, stick to those providers that you can afford, and quit complaining about those you can't.
It's NOT an affordability issue. The issue boils down to the fact that girls charging $200, for example, are getting as good or better TER reviews than girls requiring 2-hr minimums for $500-700. Raising the awareness of this (which MANY across the country are also doing)is not complaining, my friend.
So, if the local Holiday Inn Express charges $89 a night, and the Ritz Carlton right next to it charges $289 a night, and both are full, who's unhappy? Each caters to a different clientle.
See the provider of your choice, but don't complain because some have different standards or requirements or price/time ranges.

It's called marketing. Yes, everytime the lady posts and lists her web site she is in fact getting free advertising from TER. Ecconomics 101, supply and demand, governs rates. With the resources of TER, the gentlemen can find want they want without too much difficulty. Also, looks and performance are two totally different categories when writing or reading/evaluating a review. THANK YOU ladies for being there for us.
are being reviewed by guys whjo consistently shop in that price renage and they are the top rated onesl IN THAT PRICE RANGE. Whereas, the ladies in the higher price ranges, are being reviewed bu a different clientele - one that doesn't shop among the lower priced. Maybe that would account for what would otherwise be construed as rating parity. Just a thought.
There are only 1 or 2 ladies in Tampa that I would consider in the 8-10 catagory of appearance. Despite this fact, the rest are charging more than many others throughout the State. Don't know why, but you definately do not get your bang for the buck in Tampa.
There's one lady in Tampa that I've seen several times for 2-4 hours and dinner that definitely give me a lot of bangs for my bucks. Yes, she has a two hour minimum, but it's well worth it.
Tampa is blessed with many fine ladies. But, as has been said before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We guys all have different tastes (no pun intended).
Part of what you're NOT taking into account this is the basic financial principle of "Risk vs. Reward".
The risks for the ladies are higher in most parts of the country and the Tampa area LE has been putting a focus on the adult industry there which causes increased risk, particularly as compared to the Miami,Broward,Palm Beach area.
In an effort to offset the potential risk, some ladies want a higher "reward". Also, they may feel that someone willing to part with a few $$$ more may be less risky for them.
The supply and demand analogies only fully work when you're dealing in a legal, open market. Never forget...this isn't.
