Please help....how does one get "unmoderated status" and have post's show immediately, rather than hours later? This makes it frustrating when planning a post. Then to see it pop up half way down the page and get overlooked by the masses.
Your feedback is very much appreciated.

It helps if your ads aren't rejected for one reason or another.

....pm him & ask if you can be unmoderated. If your new, post regularly, & ask again in a couple weeks & you should be un-tethered.

You need to fix that, and post ads in accordance with the rules for a while, then come talk.

I didn't particularly want to point this out in public, hoping you'd get the hint, but...

to the moderator and he/she would take you off moderated status. Go back a couple years and do a search using the term "unmoderated." Instructions were put up by the mods at one time.

Took me three years to get unmoderated...back then, because of that, I mostly lurked rather participated.  And, as a hobbyist, it was a definite drawback.  Having anything you posted appear after the thread ran cold... :(

Then, for reasons unknown, I suddenly had the leash removed.  Since then... :)

My only suggestion would be to contact your local board moderator...and hope that he is reasonable, and open to your request...some are not.  Good luck!

It's gotta be the most pain-in-the-ass job in the world. Who'd want it? Imagine reading and approving or not) the myriad posts in a timely manner. As a former college prof, I came to hate reading the writings of disinterested, near-illiterate, students. This has to be worse.

P.S. this isn't a suck-up to get off moderated status, which I'm finding is a painful experience.

This is the way it has been explained to me.  Some ladies get unmoderated within days (again, from what I've been told) by getting in good with the right people.  Most people have to wait about 3 months of regular posting....a few times a week.  Most of that depends on how well the moderator likes you and how conservative that person is.  Oh yeah, and try to live by the rules  ;)

I got unmoderated once for about a day by one guy, then immediately moderated by someone else.  Not sure how that happened.  Either way, for me some things are just not worth persuing endlessly to no avail.

Good luck to you honey!
