I recently saw one of my ATFs and I was sort of shocked as she told me that she would only see men who were 42 years of age and older. I know that this is a personal decision for your own criteria I was wondering how you come off with your criteria? I just turned 61 years old and I have been in the hobby for at least 20 years. The provider I am referring to is well known to this board and Is a mature, at least 40.
Could you please share some stories of maybe bad encounters with hobbies re that would make you set the minimum age to say 40?
It can be difficult to find providers that will see hobbies to that are younger, especially those that are not newbie friendly. Thanks.eom

Younger guys are generally a pain. They are flaky on keeping appointments, they try to haggle or short donations, and they always want to date me. They can also bring drama and occasionally even drug use into the appointment setting, and that is NOT ok. Older guys usually have their act together on a personal and professional level and are not prone to that sort of behavior, therefore I much prefer older gentleman, say 45 and up. I'm in my early 30s.

This is just my opinion, and not ALL younger guys will commit the above mentioned sins. But so many have in my experience that I would rather spend my time with older, well-behaved gentlemen

I am 74 and turning 75 in a few months.     In Tampa Bay and on the East coast (WPB down to Miami) I have found that ladies in the age group 19 - 30 have no issues seeing me.    My regular ATF is only 20 and I have been seeing her since she was 18.    I have hard time setting up something with ladies who are older than 40 - 45.

Whatever it is, it has not affected my hobbying interests the least.

... it has nothing to do with "bad encounters" in their case, but rather running into people in the same circle of friends/family. If the ladies are in their 20s/30s and they have an active social life or have brothers/cousins with friends in the same age bracket, the last thing they would want is for their personal and professional lives to intersect. It could be disastrous. Granted, you always run that risk, but at least it decreases odds by setting that guideline.  

I have heard of stories of ladies who require the age limit because younger guys tend to "party" or be demanding/intense. Personally, I have been in the industry over 15 years and I met with younger gents. The younger ones that I met with were sometimes a better experience than a client over 40, 50 or 60. It all depends upon the individual.  

Some mature providers may set that limit because they would be able to connect better with someone closer to their age. Conversation regarding likes, interests, etc. will flow better with someone closer to your age and the comfort level is better. Again, I think it should be done on a case by case basis. Hell, I have met 50 year olds who act 25 and 25 year olds who act 90! Some may argue "who cares about conversation" but in the end, both must feel comfortable. Although a 20 year girl is hot, we have all seen the 90 year old man with the 20 year old beauty. At the end of the day, what do they have in common? What would their conversations be like? What music do they listen to? Where would they go on a Friday night at midnight?  

As an assistant, I do not think the ladies should put limits. Each person should be offered the opportunity to meet and screened accordingly. They tend to limit themselves and perhaps loose out on meeting someone younger 40 (or whatever their criteria is) who is an awesome new client/friend.  

In the end though, it is the provider's decision and they each have their specific reasons for setting an age limit. We must accept it and respect it. There are so many beautiful, top rated courtesans in this industry these days, thank God there is plethora of ladies... so many to choose from, so little time. Lucky boys

I always screen them with a number of conversations on the phone. Usually when I do meet a younger gentlemen everything works out fine but I did have a few in my years of experience that have become a problem child. Late night calls, sexting via text and not understanding the time restraints.

The younger men who call older more mature ladies usually are shy or wanting to improve their skills. They feel more comfortable not being with their age counterpart and can ask directions more openly.

By the way ... it seems to be the in thing for young guys to be desirous of an older woman's company

I prefer older gentlemen above 40+. They have their act together and know what they want. They know how to treat a lady and are able to have great conversations with things we both have in common.  Younger gentlemen, well, I'd have to agree with Carmen. There are however, the occasional younger guy who will surprise me with their maturity. Someone has definitely taught them right along the road .

from a few bad apples, as they come in all shapes and sizes. I believe some younger gentlemen are extremely wise beyond their years and if I restricted myself from seeing them, I would lose out on a great experience overall. Screening is key in this regard.

First, thank all who responded, great stuff, as always! Carmen you really cracked me up with the guys always wanting to date you! I have fallen in love a couple times, myself, over the years.

I have no issues seeing gents in their 20's as long as they can get screened and treat me  
like a lady....I am happy to entertain them and enjoy their company.

I do agree the ladies that chose not to see the younger gents can sometimes miss out  
on some great men. However, each of us know our comfort zone and chose who we will
see based on that.

Just like some ladies chose not to see black men or like you said have an age requirement,
to me neither is an issue.

I however can't tell you how many times I have had a gent say that ehy love seeing the older
women and just can't fathom a lady in their 20's as it really creeps them out.  Beisdes the  
fact that conversation is a big part of the GF experience and they just have nothing in  
common with them.  

I guess this is where we are all different and have likes and dislikes.

Personally, I will choose elegance and grace over ignorance and arrogance everyday of the week.  
IF a man addresses me with "Hey" .. I do not respond, no matter what his age is.  
IF someone has RAP or Hip Hop on their voicemail, I do not bother leaving a message.
IF anyone, G-d forbid, showed up here in pants beneath his boxers, I would not open the door for him.  
Age is just a number but, I have found that men between 50 and 75 are a perfect fit for my tastes.

 

For me, i have always been attracted to older gentleman, because of the maturity possessed, (again, based on case by case as not every person is the same at a certain age). I'm in my early 20's and have always enjoyed the company of mature people. I do not mind someone young, it's all about connection-- but a much deeper connection than just physical/sensual does it for me.  

In my experience, the young guys are just (not all) very sexually active for the most part and barely like to have a much deeper connection even when i try to have meaningful conversations, which has made me feel a bit awkward at times..  

Perhaps it can be A reason why most providers would rather see gentleman whom truly desire, and fully enjoy the company, beauty, and intelligence of a Gal whom likes to be appreciated for such.  

I've had deeper connections with older Gentleman 40's,50's even 60's than i ever could with someone my age. So that has gone to show me that age is nothing but a number, same goes for intimacy-- most of my euphoric experiences have been with older gentleman with in the "hobby".
