END OF MESSAGE

The OP made some great comments in his post, and brought back to light some things that always seem to creep their way back onto the boards.....ladies trading "favors" or "discounts" in exchange for scores.

Lets blow this lid off of this right now...and no, no one is getting slammed or called out by me, I haven't dealt with this in a long time... Ladies, if this is a practice you use, stop it!!!  Its been said by ladies and guys alike, sometimes 2 people simply don't click...its that simple.  There is nothing wrong with an 8 for appearance for example, although like its been said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder....but if you get an 8, that's not bad....same thing goes for performance....sometimes people just don't click well, and that's fine too, it happens.....but to try and manipulate the scores in any way is simply wrong.

No names need to be said, but there are quite a few ladies out there, on a FEW Regional boards, who are known for this practice.....and all I'll say is Ladies, us guys aren't stupid.....we can see the manipulation happening....like when we see a lower score appear on your Reviews, only to have that review either removed or scores changed with a lame public apology to follow.  Let the reviews stand for themselves....like I said, we aren't stupid....and if you consistently have good scores, and a low one pops up, we can look at that ourselves and maybe say 2 people didn't click.

There are a lot more reasons a guy may choose to see you, and not simply based on scores.....let the guys share what THEY feel like sharing, and their experience....if you know you provide a good service, your scores will reflect that, but ladies, even you are entitled to an off day, and no matter how hard you may try, may not be able to completely click with a gentleman.

I'd be curious to hear more on this, I don't want my post to be too long.

Cheers

know that certain ladies (I'm not say'n either) tend to try to manipulate reviews and/or scores in reviews.  One of the big advantages of VIP is to be able to PM another reviewer to get the "inside scoop".  To me, there is nothing wrong with an "8" in either appearance or performance.  I know I wasn't a "B" student in all subjects.

Ladies, what is important is that you make the effort to make us guys feel special.  If we don't click, oh well.

about ladies putting pressure on guys to give higher scores.

The other thread is about how to score ladies "on one's own", without the pressure from a lady.

I simply wanted to start the topic of ladies offering services or discounts for scores, and its not a good practice to get into.....it was a different direction from what the other thread was about....so hence, a new thread...

Cheers

You could've posted under thewildthing's post where she said: "I am not the least bit surprised to learn that providers trade cash for 10's."

Sorry to steal the thunder if anyone wanted to join the "debate"....but it's probably best if we stop the de-railing of the original and valid point now.

If anyone wants to start a thread about posts that don't address the original point....and serve no purpose other than to be negative.....go right ahead.
That's a new topic....but not new behavior unfortunately.

Just sayin'

Giving someone a TER discount is one thing, but bartering for higher scores is quite another.  The discount doesn't have any scores or even a review attached to it.

Not only were scores traded for "favors", but providers and their white knight hobbyists alike were threatening those who wrote anything less than stellar reviews.

This seems to have gone away.

This was the phrase of sentences that brought up my topic...

" I had a provider tell me to give her a 10/10 but she did not perform the greek and was limited in positions.  She had at least 3 other 10/10 listings.   I am inclined to give her a 8/8 but she may be angry and retaliate.  I had seen a provider in NYC who discounted her rates for 10s-- I did not know this before I saw her."

This was the reason for my post.  This was widely done just a couple years ago, and it brought up a good topic to discuss....no one was called out on the thread, as that was not its intention...but those who have been around this board, and maybe the NYC board, know right off the top of they're head who a few of the abusers are of this practice ......and its not a good habit to get into.

Hopefully this clears some things up, if not, reread things again till it makes sense.

Cheers

The topic of your thread is important and you managed to bring it up without inflammatory language.

To those who question whether review manipulation is a problem, it may not have happened to you, but it has happened to me.  As a reviewer that tends to grade slightly lower than your average TER member, I have been asked to change my review score after it was posted.  I have also had other providers tell me that they almost didn't agree to see me because they felt I had, "Too many 7s", in my review history.

Look, Haya is exactly right.  An 8 SHOULD be considered a good review score.  When I score a provider with a 7, it means I thought she was hot and I enjoyed myself.  Who wouldn't want that kind of experience?

Actually, I feel like the problem initially manifested itself on the hobbyist side of the equation.  Too many guys handing out inflated scores to every provider they meet.  Pretty soon, a lady feels like she has to have straight 10s across the board to get a look from a prospective client.  This in turn has led a few providers to pressure guys to give them those inflated scores.

The only thing I can do is to repeat what Haya and others have said before: smart clients do more than search by review scores.  We find a provider that appeals to us and we READ the text of the reviews.  We also rely on the review scores of other members that we have found to be inline with our tastes and standards.

Let's just say, if a lady said I was a 7/7 (attractive/hot time) I'd be happy all week :)
