Damn, hotel rates are high!  I know 'tis the season and of course all the snow they are getting in the NE is driving anyone who has means South- just thought I would throw it out here that I am looking to rent an apt/condo close to the beach in the Ft Lauderdale area starting Feb 21st:  
2 weeks would be perfect.  Any info/ideas appreciated!!

I looked into vacation rentals alsong with probally Thousands of othre people for t he season..here in Naples it is $200 PLUS a night!
crazy..and that is like at the Laquinta!!
Gotta start months in advance..but you might get lucky!
