Smartphones are no more than portable computers and just like a PC that runs all the time they need an occasional reboot. Clear out junk and reset pointers.. Back when I had an old no fancy flip phone a restart got my strong signal strength again!!!

Even if your phone seems to be working fine.....re-start it at the very least once a week.

Mine didn't seem to have any issues at all. An app started acting up this weekend so I just re-started the phone. When it came back on the notifications were going nuts. There was 4 voicemails and 18 texts from the previous week that never showed up on the phone until I re-booted it.

Wouldn't want to see this happen to anyone else....especially if it's something important...so hopefully this info will prevent any embarrassing moments or worse.

Just sayin'

an app called MailDroid, because the mail system on the Note 2 does not give me my spam folder when using AOL mail.  I find that sometimes an hour or two goes by and I get no emails.  I think it's a problem when going from a wifi connection, to a different wifi connection or regular internet connection.  When this happens, I too have to reboot my phone to get my emails to come in, and sometimes my voicemails get hung up as well when this happens.  I restart my phone at least once per day.

for someone who presents himself to be so very smart, this seems pretty basic.
First thought: ok, he's old. Just stopped using the old rotary dial phone a few weeks ago.
Second: The header, maybe smart...but not perfect, well? if the foo shits..................wear it!
Third: Where's Jimmy when you need him?
Fourth: Is this the exciting board DD is trying to build "like the old days" when people could challenge his intellect?
Fifth: Maybe he REALLY is that much smarter than everyone else, and is trying to help us dumbasses.
Sixth: Nah, I can't just let it go.
Seventh: Should I restart my phone? Seems to be working fine, just got another news alert, texts keep flowing in, all 6 email accounts are up to date, hidden text account for my gals working fine, both hidden photo galleries working, etc.
Eighth: This will be fun.
Ninth: Don't have much time though...
And finally tenth: THANKS DD. Your friend S64

Time is something you obviously have a lot of.

While I'm somewhat flattered at your creepy obsession with me.....leave the top ten lists to Letterman.
It's obviously yet another thing you lack the skill to do correctly. ;)

You are the best!  Sorry I missed you on Easter

DL11 nit the nail on the head...and I think everyone has gotten the message now.

If you think it has to with apps....maybe you should re-start your phone now. LOL
