Something I read in during the back and forth last Wednesday following DD's post kind of got me thinking. Pork-you-pine commented that the board had become a wasteland with nothing but theme day posts with old pics from mainly providers in the twilights of their careers.

The comment made, while offensive to me, did stir up some thoughts. I'm quite aware of my age and a probable need to move on relatively soon. Before I go I'm trying to save money to open a business with. I'm hoping to be able to start something up this Fall. I'm currently working on a business plan, working with mentors and networking around town in search of the perfect space for me to open in. Additionally, I'm putting a book proposal together and intend to submit the concept to several publishers in the first few months of next year. I have a lot on my plate between trying to keep up with PR on Laney, her rendezvous and my self-assigned goals for the future.

Getting back to Pork-U-Pines post about providers who are in the twilight of their careers - do any of you identify with that statement? There are so many incredibly smart, talented and versatile women in this business (I think many of us are here because we couldn't stand being smarter than the boss!) I'm interested to know if you have exit plans and what they are if you do? Do you intend to expand in the adult world as an agency manager, event coordinator, web guru or do you plan to do something entirely different in the future?

On a side note, I was wondering how many gents feel the same way Pork-U-Pine does? Is the Florida board just a wasteland of theme day pics by providers in the twilight of their careers? If you had your choice would you have us stop posting on theme days? Do you always and only prefer to look at new talent? : )

With digital cameras so cheaply available, there is, IMO, no reason for any provider to be using the same pics over and over again.  And it does happen, we all know that.  I'm sure there are hobbyists who would be willing to spend a few extra minutes in the company of a lovely lady to take a few pics of her to post.  I know I would.  I prefer more candid shots anyway compared to studio shots.  If you are computer savvy, you can always put your watermark on them or blur out any tattoos or your face before posting them.  If you use your own camera, the lucky guy that takes the pics will not have the chance to keep them for himself either.

I don't want the pic theme days to go.  I just wish more ladies would participate.  It's not that the ones who post are not lovely to look at, but we men are visual creatures, as you all know, and we all like to see new faces, oops, well maybe not faces, or bodies.....

When I say oldie but goodie I'm referring to each ladies' photo archive not we Twilighters. ; ) The girls could choose some of their former favorites (and take the day off from behind the camera) and the guys would know what they're getting before they ever click through. Perhaps with the theme day guidelines we'll see less repeats as it does take quite a bit of time and effort to keep up with a theme every day of every week.

And -- I'm with you on versatility and the gentleman of this board's desire to see fresh and new faces, boobies, butts and more. After all, that's one of the fundamental reasons providers exist - for a gentleman's desire for something different.

I have various pictures of various body parts and poses but I don't think that I can since I do not have reviews here or something.

First....."Twilight of their careers":
This, as in many other things, is very subjective.
Let's face it....there's ladies in their 30s who are pretty much in their twilight. There's also ladies in their mid to late 40s whose attitude and bodies would make any 20-something jealous. There's providers in their 50s and 60s.
Yet they all find work. Why? Answer is because there is someone for everyone. We've heard over and over and over about how does anyone see this one...she's _______. Well some guys like them mature. Some like them young. Some like them heavy. If you're an 80 year old guy.....a 60 year old woman isn't "that" old. Some guys have self esteem issues that keeps them from feeling comfortable with a very attractive woman....so they may choose someone that others of us would pass on.
Whatever.
Age, in and of itself, is no indication of the twilight of a career. The only thing that determines that....is when the phone stops ringing. The sad truth is that providers are no different than athletes or actors.......in that some know when to go out "on top".....and some keep dragging it out hoping for one more comeback that never comes.

Second...."Theme days"
Let me first say......OMFG.....theme days *again*?!?!?
The statements that theme days are nothing but repetitive pictures by 'old' providers is the MOST worn out BULLSHIT that there has ever been, and continues on ad nauseum.
In recent weeks we have had brand new providers participating....and the lowest amount of re-used pics....EVER. So some of these guys just like to think that their opinion is the ONLY one....and they keep spouting the same old crap.
They're apparently not intelligent enough to realize....no matter how many times they are told....that if you don't like it......NO ONE is holding a gun to your head and making you click on the posts.
Try to remember that there is a certain percentage of people who need this little sub-society of ours to survive. It is their life, despite their protestations. They're constantly on the boards, PMing, emailing, calling, gossiping, and passing on information and rumors to others just like them. This is true for men and women alike. Opinions are just that....but it's my opinion that it's the people who live for this shit that are the key to most of our problems. They just don't know when to turn it off and have a real life in the real world.

The *real* problem with theme days.......is the ladies themselves.

It's not all of the ladies. It's the ones who are busybody bitter bitches. Now of course none of them will admit that they are....it's always the 'other ones'. The ones who just live to find posts to report. Oh, she posted too early.....Oh, she put too much text with her picture (and even though I do it sometimes....it's different).....Oh, she's really hot and works in my area......Oh, I don't like her......etc etc etc.
I've gotten several PMs from ladies who state *specifically* that is why they don't even bother. They post a perfectly good pic....some stupid bitch reports it.....it gets taken down as a knee jerk reaction most times (let's admit that's what happens)....then she has to state why her picture had nothing wrong with it to get someone to actually look at it and put it back up.
What.............absolute.........BULLSHIT.
It's *that*......that keeps new blood out of the picture (no pun intended)....and dampens the spirit of those ladies who actually still participate and try to keep things fresh and new. It should be said....that their efforts are appreciated.

I am fifty nine years old and I will be honest that for a number of reasons I have had more pussy this year than any year counting the last ten years. Many providers in their ads claim that they only cater to "generous older men that know how to treat a lady and can appreciate fine women yada yada. I don't kid myself as to WHY this year has been so bountiful. I am long past being an Adonis. I am somewhat self conscious about my physique, but I guess when I get too repulsive, a nice provider will tell me to get the f out!
With the ladies, only you will know when it's time to hang up the lace. Telltale signs, least of all the phone stops ringing, and maybe you can't pay the rent. Like a great sports figure that loves the game yet can't admit it's time, or past time to go.

I don't know the average time providers work but I don't imagine it's more than 5 or 10 years. A shame, really, because to personally find a lady you can call your ATF and see on a regular basis takes time and patience and luck. I am very happy with the ladies that appear on this board.
As far as pics go, Swim is spot on. I have contributed a few pics to this board taken with an inexpensive digital camera. I doubt anyone noticed they were not professional. A lot of ladies are way too uptight about pics. If they are tastefully done, it ads so much to my enjoyment to have a pic from a date.
How many careers have I ruined by exposing someone's identify? Zero, nil, none! Am I a moron? I don't think I am.

10 or more years but there are also providers who have only a few reviews that have been around for less than 6 months. A guy will seek ladies who appeal to him whether it be young hard bodies or more mature ladies who I consider true courtesans or anywhere in between. My preference is a mixed bag of some of each with a slightly higher percentage of MILF's.

The fast majority of ladies I have met have been both good lovers and good companions who can carry on an intelligent conversation about a myrid of topics.

Not sure why the younger ladies do not participate on the boards, especially theme days, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

I suspect that you are absolutely correct in that there are so many intelligent escorts, usually mature Milfs, that they would rather work for themselves than for other people who are of a lesser intelligence caliber.  I have been attracted to mature women since I was in my teens.  They are most always better lovers and they have a lot of intelligent things to talk about.  I say more power to the mature women, to me there is nothing sexier in this world than an intelligent good looking woman whom is comfortable with her age.

As for the theme days I really have no opinion; I always like the pics of Florida's finest, and in my opinion the best providers I have seen are invariably women in their 30s, 40s and 50s.  I wish more hobbyists appreciated mature providers because then there would be even more of you lovely ladies.

The best sex I have ever had is with a very UTR provider who is well into her 50s.  She is witty, smart as a whip and sexy in a very subtle, yet, terrific way.  I've never done a review on her because she is an extremely low volume provider and prefers her privacy.  In fact I do not think there are any reviews of her anywhere, another provider introduced me to her.  My point is there are a lot of great mature providers out there and to me they are completely worth the time and money that I spend with them.

As far as the board being a waste, I will venture that it has gone way down hill due to several board cops that attack when someone posts something they find stupid, odd or offensive.  There seams to be very little new posters and without new all we get is the same old same old.

I stopped posting on this board because it just got too dramatic and too many haters and bs! That's it but you do bring up a wonderful question do we have plans for after this. Lets face it all good things do come to an end and some times it's time to close the chapter whether we like it or not. I commend you for wanting to pursue other opportunities after this instead of just beating a dead horse so to say. Everyone has an expiration and I am not saying you do but this is reality. DD did make a good comment as there is something for everyone too! I think personally you can balance and phase this out of your life slowly while starting a business. I can tell you I have big plans for my future and plan to slowly phase this out not anytime soon but when it is time. As they say something like this "follow your dreams and if you fall you will be amongst the stars"

I have been in the industry for over 14 years. It has been a wonderful, exciting journey for me. I have had the good fortune to many wonderful ladies and gentlemen over the years. I think that just a some men prefer to seek out the new talent and/or younger ladies, there are just as many if not more that prefer to stay with those trusted and known through the years. They have built a relationship and have a comfort level with certain ladies that have continually visited with over the years. That being said, I plan on continuing to see known friends through the years. As long as my phone rings, I will answer it. I have limited the amount of travel however. Travel can get wearing on you and I am taking a short break from the continuous travel (lucky South Florida )

I help with everything from image consulting to scheduling/screening to financial planning. Also, the parties that I have been hostessing for the last two years have been wonderful. I enjoy providing party concierge services for adults. A new venture for the new year is in the works as well. My referral/introduction service is another way that I can give back and help the community.

As far as "twilight of your careers", well, that doesn't necessarily mean age. If you have a lady who started at 21, she can be in the twilight of her career at 30. I actually was 31 when I started and I will be 45 in April. I don't think age matters, as there are so many hot, sexy, well-reviewed ladies on this board that are busier now more than ever that are over 40. I think it is time to end your career when you no longer enjoy what you do. It shows and that is when it is time to say goodbye. Age is relative. I may be 45, but I have plenty of long time clients that are 65+. I am years younger and always will be! I rely on my long term relationships that I have established over the years. I doubt that one day they will wake up and say, "Shit, Toni is gonna be 45 today, fuck her! I am starting over with a 30 year old." And hey, if they did wake up and say that, that is fine!  This hobby is supposed to be fun and gentlemen, you are entitled to get what you want. As far as the theme day photos, can we possibly beat this dead horse any more! Are they fun? I think so. Do they get old? Sometimes. Does it help in marketing? Absolutely!  I feel that gentlemen get an idea about a lady and photos she shares and the comments she makes. Are there some pics that should not be up? Absolutely. I have found myself opening pics just to say, "Wow!". It's like a bad accident...you don't want to look, but you do anyhow! If you don't like the theme days, don't look. If you look and don't like what you see, STFU and move on. Don't look next time. Lesson learned.

I agree with you about Board Cops. I've made a point of staying away lately for the very same reason. These days, any post I make is done so with a nervous hand. I'm afraid of being flamed and accused of things that aren't true. I'm so paranoid that when I see an ISO of on the board that I might fit I won't post behind the original postee. Instead I PM in order to avoid any kind of drama or conflict. I know people think we girls live for drama and cat fights but I personally do not. There's absolutely nothing to gain by being catty, competitive or conniving with other ladies on the board. I don't send nasty PM's behind the scenes either. I recently wanted to ask for a show of hands from *any*one I've ever sent a nasty PM to before. I'd be surprised if anyone raised one.

... and I really couldn't have said it any better. I feel the way that you do. I love this career and if I'm able to find a way to remain a part of it either as a working independent or an owner/operator of something related I will. I've considered hosting private parties here in Tampa - like Octavia has been doing in NYC and kind of like what you've been doing in South Florida. I don't think Tampa has the same gusto So. Seriously, has it been that long! I remember the first time we met in NYC and the fun times and get togethers over the years.  I miss the camaraderie and friendships that were so prevalent "back in the day" instead of the cadiness and meanness that seems  rampant today. It may been there "then" too, but certainly not aired for all to see. I can understand how some gentlemen are totally turned off by a gorgeous girl who exihibits her mean spirit on the boards.  Face it, it is an illusion and we play the part. Interesting subject, and rest assured, us men have these internal debates as well.  We all grow old and all have some anxiety over what's next, will we be replaced by the young.  It's Darwinian.

Never forget though, that it appears the hobbyist demographic is older than you - I am, but barely.    As stunning and appealing physically a 20-year-old might be, do you really think someone at my age can connect deeply on a mental, experiential and emotional level?  The date experience, for me, is more about that connection than just a simple physical romp with a young lady.  Add to that though, the reality that people are taking better care of themselves these days, working out more, eating healthy, tasteful enhancements, and aging becomes less of an issue.  My sister is a few years old than me, and is as skinny, fit and cute as she was 20 years ago.  My experience is that about 28 is when the real growth curve starts for all of us in any profession.  Think of it like a very fine bottle of French wine that may be sexy a few years into bottling, but give it 5, 10 years or more, and it takes on a complexity with ancillary and tertiary characteristics that leave you smiling and thinking about it for a very long time.

And then of course, there are exceptions like Alyssa, who defies her age, but with her, you can tell she has immersed herself in travel, art and culture and other life experiences.
