for this board to go from the class of TER, where everyone wanted their board to be "like the Fla. board", to the cesspool, as shown by the previous post and responses.

It has been ALLOWED to sink to this level from the heights that it was for reasons known only to the "powers that be".

Oh well, let the perverts and the deviants have at it.
It's to bad, though, they are such "manly men" that they don't have the guts  to post this crap under their user real name so everyone will know who they are.

Now c'mon Jimmy. That was not the only point in bobb's post...and, I'm guessing, not his intent to denegrate Sly. IMHO.
Sly's 'job' is not enviable and takes up a lot of time. I doubt you'd find anyone to argue with that.
What Sly does, as a mod, is to give un-moderated privileges to members he trusts. This, lowers his work load and gives him less crap to sort through.
The point (maybe not bobb's, but mine) is the things you failed to address about bobb's post.
The level of crap and pointless gross, dumb shit posted by un-moderated members has risen.
Feel free to argue with that.
The people posting some of this aforementioned crap are too chickenshit to post under their 'real' handles.

So go ahead and make an issue of what you believe is bobb's going after Sly....and totally ignore the other points.
The fact is...that there is no 'class' without 'ass'. It's the asses that make some of us appreciate class.
You can be sarcastic all you want...but there is no "coup" needed. This board....as in all aspects of life...could use a little more class, personal responsibility and accountability. Wanna post something? Then stand up and put your name to it.
The "hobby world" is no different than the real world. There's lots of levels...and a trough for every pig. Maybe bobb would just like the pigs to move on to another trough, or at least restrain themselves. If those aren't his thoughts...then I'll claim them as my own. Using my real handle.
The only good part about all this...is that the people who post, or respond, make it easy for some of us to know who to avoid...on both sides of the table.

But please don't ask us poor piggies to change the slop we enjoy...there are a lot of troughs out there.   And the arguement about the "chickenshits" who won't post with  their real handles...is getting really old, and very boring..sometimes the handles used tell the story!
Like for instance...Mel..Boring!  Get a grip people, loosen up, and quit trying to decide what is pointless, gross, dumbshit for the rest of us who "lack your class" Your right there is no class without ass...and it seems like those who get on here professing to be the epitome of CLASS..are all just ASS...looking to stir up the shit......Just go away if you don't like it here!

I obviously can't control Fuzzy Phallus and the many aliases he goes under. I guess he just loves our board so much that he finds it necessary to smegmatize us Floridians.

Everyone just needs to lighten up a bit. If you don't like Fuzzy's posts, just ignore them. I would say it's safe to assume that if the post is absolutely off the wall and disgusting, and it has an alias, it's likely a Fuzzy post.

Personally, I don't find them funny, but he's a TER moderator and I choose to just ignore it. Not much I can do if he chooses to show a lack of respect for the way I like to run this board.

My parody is no disrespect to how you run your board Sly! Most of you know my sense of humor.  Likewise, many of you also  know I lived in Florida for years, went to college here, and have family here. I've met most of you on this board, and had some fun spoofing your handles etc.  I'm pretty thick skinned, and have a TWISTED WARPED sense of humor. (I'm much more DEPRAVED on my boards). Speaking of.... you are ALL more than welcome to harass me on my boards (GaytorJimmy does regularly).

I believe a few did let you know that they were offended. A few more dropped me PM's saying as such. You just don't want to hear it, and slough it off as just people having a lack of humor.

Most members don't really like to publicly criticize a moderator in the open forum of a board, which is why you probably don't get more criticism.

I know that you call this a "whore" board, but that's not the usual tone on the Florida board. And many of the providers on here don't appreciate being called a "whore".

What I do not understand is how a moderator can break the rules (more than one alias in the same thread) with impunity, and then when I posted  holiday greetings on several (6 or 7) boards a moderator moderates me, because he caves to the many cowards who complained to him not me, and I’m told my posts are spam.
I’m told my  spam family posts are dumb and overbearing………..that’s funny me overbearing

That seems to be the case here.

Some can ignore and break the rules with impunity and nothing happens to them, but others, who have done NOTHING wrong, get moderated, or worse, just because someone doesn't like them.

WHEN did you ever think this board was the class of TER, Bobb???  You've had the same complaint for over a year!!!(in your opinion)...As for impeaching Sly...I don't think so...because there has been NO reason for him to interfere!  Everyone has been having a great time here in YOUR absence...and up until this post of yours...there has been NO DRAMA!!!!
So I would probably have posted....Well, well,well, it's taken less than a year for the DRAMA to return (that would be going back to the Orlando M&G chaos you started)!
As for Fuzzy....he doesn't bother me a bit...and I posted a nice X-mas card on the Philly Board just for him! No one wants to see you get your shoes dirty standing in a cesspool....so maybe...just maybe...you could unplug your computer!!! :-D

Some may say bobb that this board jumped the shark when we nominated our “prom date” for P.O.W. every week and endlessly shilled for her day after day after day until we lost all credibility.  Some may also argue that the board lost some momentum when we used it to diminish the honest efforts put into M&G’s by others for the sake of promoting our own and allowing our egos to impede the efforts of those seeking to enhance the hobby experience.  Still others may say that the board suffered when some of us (me, for instance) posted too much fluff and humor and not enough pertinent content, thus causing the real posts and ads to leave the first page too quickly.

My point is that the board is what the members have allowed it to evolve into.  Not everyone looks for the same things here.  Sly has done a great job of moderating, but he is not our daddy and should not have to play that part.  He rightfully allows the content to flow. You and I are two of the biggest culprits.  Neither one of us should be casting stones. If you don’t like something, skip over it, move on and keep your thoughts to yourself or PM them to the mod if your sensitivities have been that deeply offended.  At the end of the day, it’s about the hobby, not the individuals.  


Just my opinion.

To say that "we" nominated our "prom dates" endlessly and that's what started the decline is BS.
I post for Stephanie, since she's who you're talking about, when I have seen her or will be seeing her. Certainly not every week.
And certainly NOT any more than some other ladies who are on the board every day.
If you would take the time to check, you would see that I have put her up twice in the last 12 weeks. That is by no means "always".

My credibility on the board is not an issue because it doesn't matterto me what others think.
There are some people who I am friends with who I do care what they think and who's opinions I relish. But there are others who I couldn't care less what they think of me.

So, how long are you going to let this M&G thing go on?
My comments had nothing to do with that M&G and you know it.
I have tried to mend some fences. Certain people have no interest in that. They seem to want to hold a grudge forever. Well, that's their problem.
I'm over it.
Why don't you get over it.

My comments were never aimed at Sly. Other than as moderator, he does have the ability to remove any posts he choses before it gets out of line. As you will notice, the offending thread is now gone.

I don't care for some of what goes on this board, but it's tolerable and I can ignore it if I chose. But the crap that Fuzzy put up and the blatant disregard for the rules of TER and the "feelings" of those he was mocking, was over the line.

If you, or anybody, thinks I am going to keep quite and just go along with what I perceive to be wrong, you are sadly mistaken.

I have been on this board for 5 years. I know a few things about what's good and bad and what's over the line.

This board is about the hobby.
But the hobby includes alot.
It includes things going on in our lives that others might want to know. It includes the humerous things we find and post to make people chuckle inside.
It DOES NOT include being mean and ugly to people. It does NOT include making fun and denigrating people just because someone with a warped sense of humor thinks it's funny.
When things get quirky, it's up to us, you, me, and everyone else here, to point out when things are over the line.

There was a time when the people of this board got along great. Things happen, things are said and people get pissed. Adults try to make amends, adults try to mend those fences. I have made that attempt. Others have not.

You don't need to reply, because I'm done with this topic. The offending post is gone, let's quit the back stabbing, the us vs. them attitude, and get back to trying to make this a great, fun board again.
