I'm driving up from South Beach just for the fun!
Though I did live in Tampa for 4 years, I have no idea what to expect!
I can't wait to see Tampa Bustling like a real city, I'll definitely be joinin you Laney!

Took a two hour long walk around downtown Tampa today to see what there is to see. Not many people yet but there are steel grates/fencing surrounding pretty much every downtown high rise, government building and ALL of Riverwalk. Bridges are inaccessible and it's very difficult to navigate to *any*where by foot as far over as Channelside. Bikes and cars are still moving but the lanes have been narrowed and are moving slowly. There were lots of workers, police officers and armed guard personnel buzzing about. I spotted two Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Trailers and rows and rows and rows of port-o-potties. The Tampa Bay Times Forum looks amazing in it's Red, White and Blue and the parking garage adjacent to it sporting all of our state flags.

I know a lot of people are nervous and are planning on staying home but I personally can't wait for the crowds and craziness. It will give me a taste of a real city for a few days. Don't know about the rest of the Tampa TER girls but I'm planning on going out every night this week and partying like a rock star!!! Anyone want to join me? Send me a PM!!

I'm flying in for the festivities - would have been better without a hurricane but should be fun nonetheless!  Hoping you local ladies will find time for us out of staters!  Have fun!
