and the cruise directer payed close attention to everyone's needs. Special events were given plenty of fanfare while the everyday entertainment was noted so you wouldn't miss anything.

The CD on the last cruise I took (7-Day Caribbean) did a magic show performance (he was a trained magician). He also hit on quite a few of the hot girl passengers and supposedly hooked up with several. And he was married (yes, his wife was back on shore tending to their children).

And interesting older gentlemen get free fare and food to dance and accompanied single older ladies to events. They also Are partners at dances where they will dance all night with different women for part of the entertainment. Many ladies have no idea these distinguished older retired gentlemen are planted there as part of the cruise experience. I saw a special once and this was noted.

I don't think women are hired to do the same thing although i'm sure friendliness to the passengers is a must even for them.

While I don't doubt that, this CD went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to entertaining cruise passengers. One night in the ship's dance club, he undid a hot girl's dress straps and cupped her bare breasts on the dance floor. Maybe the CD was bucking for a promotion LOL.
