END OF MESSAGE

I am planning a trip to Florida and need some help with the best areas to stay while visiting Ft Lauderdale.  Please respond here or PM me.  Thanks so much.

and not in the Cypress Creek Road area - very hot stay away.  Mapquest is your friend right now, pull it up and make sure to click on the options to show hotels in detail.  Good luck sweety!

Tara xoxo

name your own price and with being able to stay in any area of Fort Lauderdale you are sure to get a great deal.  Probably less than a hunded per night...Great locations are around the airport, downtown and North Lauderdale.  The beach is great too but be carefull because parking is about $20-$30  a night too and some hotels are key card access and this may be a problem for your guests.

Best luck

Its off season so I recommend paying directly. Its dirt cheap down there this time of year. Priceline adds up & does flag you. Hotwire shuts down your account after you spend a certain amount & makes it impossible to use. Unless you are being smart & covering all your bases(tax/incorporate yourself) if you plan on working a while save priceline for expensive cities(Boston,NY,DC,Chicago) & season. Its off season so you'll be fine. Good luck!

Id do 2 days in Plantation & 2 days by the airport/SR 84. Just me.

Are you saying that anyone who uses Priceline is looked at as a potential hooker? That doesn't seem likely to me... maybe it flags you as someone who's trying to keep their travel costs in check!

I use it about 75% of the time for my tours and I have never had anyone look at me sideways.

priceline doesn't want other companies to use them, so if you use them to often they will lock your account.

Other companies? You mean the competition? So priceline would fear that someone from say, Orbitz is using their services and lock them out? That sounds nutty!

I said it flags you. I said nothing about hookers.

i have never heard of this, nor have i experienced it.  several years ago, i used Hotwire to rent a car for the week, every week, for over a year.  their rates were so good, it was actually cheaper than buying new, and i enjoyed driving a different "new" car every week.  i spent plenty of money through their site, and no one bothered me a bit.

i'm not trying to be argumentative, but what kind of company bans a regular, paying customer?

a retail company i once worked for had many foreign customers who would come in during the big sales and buy product in very large quantities.  the company knew darn well that the product was being shipped overseas and resold, basically on the black market.  the company looked the other way, and sold these customers everything they wanted under a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.  why?  because it was stupid to turn away a $20,000 per month customer.

my point is...so why would priceline or Hotwire turn away volume business?  who cares if it's the competition buying the product?  a sale is a sale.  :scratches head:

Yeah, Hotwire shut my account & that of another very popular touring lady out of DC back in 09. Im not the only one it happened 2, use the ladies board & ask around if you want verification. I cant tell you why? No. Did I say it was logical? No. It just happened.  This was in '08/'09 The only way to get by it is to buy a gift card/online prepaid debit card & put a whole new number/email. Not that I use my work number/email for anything other than just that.

What it comes down to is this... if you spend alot of money on these sites, you may have to one day answer for your spending after a certain amount. Ya know, an audit, whatever. Just have your sh!t straight. I said NOTHING about either sites flagging you for being a call-girl. How one carries oneself when in the hotel is a big reason a glance may be cast in one's direction.

For the record I do have better things to do than pull random shit, such as this, out of my ass. Im a good provider, Ive been in DC since '06 & tour the east coast frequently. Im just trying to help out a fellow worker who posted a question. Take it or leave it.
