Ellyse, I attended the Super Bowl in Miami a couple years ago between Indianapolis and Chicago .  I stayed at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort which is in the north part of Ft. Lauderdale.  

What made that appropriate to your question is we were at least 20 miles from the stadium but the NFL had all the Hall of Fame players staying at the same hotel I was in.  I believe they would have stayed closer had they been able to.  

My take on it was it seemed all the hotels and restaurants were VERY busy from Ft. Lauderdale all the way down to Miami.  I would assume it will be that same way in Tampa this year.

Orlando is not that far away you know.

try st. petersburg or clearwater - much closer than orlando

you can stay at my house - I'm serious - u can see clients here.  u may not find a hotel now.
