A question for the ladies and gents...while sitting at the nail salon today getting my toesies painted, my hands massaged (the best part, I think you ladies will concur) and finger nails graced with girly girl lacquer...I couldn't help but think of the multitudes of nail shops that adorn every block.  There must be something very sexual about a woman's nails to both a man and the woman that carries them.  Anyone care to comment?

6. Have you ever seen a really sexy nail job or one that completely turned you off?

Any favorite colors, glitter, decals?  French tipped toes? 

 A woman's nails are an extension of her femininity and her touch can be either lethally erotic or a slow groove.  

Might nails be a part of the mystique?Where do you like your lady friend to run the tips of her nails?  On your back?  Your chest?  Your balls?

Any of you gents go for manicures or pedicures just to stay neat and trim or do you just chew them off and spit the remains out the car window?

As long as the paid escort as a full set of fungus-free nails, it doesn't matter to me what they're painted with or what she does with them.

and have my own nails but covered with acrylic to keep them from breaking. Most of the time I keep them natural but love the color china red and when dressed to impress toes and finger nails match. While some ladies enjoy the spa time I don't. Hate the smell of polish and acrylic myself.

I don't like claws and under turned fake nails. Must be a trend at the moment because I have noticed lots of ladies with them. I couldn't dress myself or type.

A lot of the gentlemen I see love the tickle but some worry about tell tale marks being left behind.

A big problem with long nails is giving more than a light anal tease. Inserting is not a good idea and using other means is necessary.

This applies to both men and women. If you don't keep your nails clean or kept, what else don't you keep clean and kept.

For over 20 years, I had acrylic nails. I was getting them done since I was 16 years old. Back in the day, I kept them long, red, designs, etc. Remember the 80s? I am still trying to forget When I was in my mid 30s, I decided I wanted to start living healthy and took a healthy approach to everything I removed the fake nails. It literally took about a year for the nails to grow in and be strong and healthy. I get them manicured regularly (together with my pedicures). French/natural look has always looked best on me.

Six months ago, for a special personal event, I did have a gel set put on. I kept them through the holidays, but wanted natural again. So, off they came. It has been about three months and I they are still not healthy. It is amazing how the fake nails really destroy your own nails. They do look sexy as hell though...I enjoy scratching my lover's back or running my nails through his hair. Most people enjoy this and I really enjoy giving pleasure.

I am constantly getting nail requests from gentlemen. I love it when they are so detailed and I can help with their desires. One favorite friend loves red toe nails. I get a pedicure right before our date. I have another friend who loves French pedicures. Guys, I am sure the ladies would agree, feel free to tell us what you like if you have a particular request. Everyone's tastes are different.

As far as the guy's nails...well, keep them short and clean. I love a man's hands when he get manicures (and pedicures). That is a bonus.

Before gel nail polish came out I was in the pedicure chair weekly getting spruced up. I feel like pretty feet and hands are expected when someone books my time. Nail fashions are really stepping it up these days. The big thing is to paint the 4th finger a different color, to add rhinestones or hand painted nail art. Long red eagle talons are out. Short, squoval (square-oval) are in. I like the short oval because you can wear all of the latest dark browns and purples while looking tasteful and trendy. I also like them short because short nails go into closed areas a lot easier than long daggers do!!! : )

Gel nail polish is *the* latest and greatest thing to happen to nails. It's a 2-3 week nail polish that lasts without chipping, fading or touch ups!!! As Toni said, Gel Nail Sets (really almost just the same as acrylics) can still really tear your nails up and damage them for a long time. Every major nail brand is making a line of gel nail polishes now so they should be available at your local salon. The better brands are Shellac, Le Chat (out of California) and Gellish (although the Gellish isn't as easy to remove as the others). They all burn under a UV light. They cost a little more but trust me they're worth it!!!! Never a worry about putting your hands under water and worrying you'll come back out with a chip (before your appointment)!!

I have long nails that take lots of abuse. Twice I tried to grow mine with gel products and both times my nails started breaking. Did some research only to find gel was not any better for your nails than acrylic. Now I have ten perfect nails again with a coating of acrylic to make them stronger. I do use the gel polish at times and it lasts till I take it off. Been doing a lot of planting and weeding the last month and not one broken nail.

This is so important especially in our world. Do you think a gentleman wants to take a girl out with unkept nails. LOL I always a lot time for myself and make sure my hair, nails, waxing, threading, facials, and the whole nine yards are always up to date.  

I just recently switched from Gel to the new shellac gel so much better on your nails btw.

...you have dexterity, you can even tie your shoes w/them...can get them @ lowes, home depot. saves the hands & the nails...i have no nails, but at least no dirt under them after heavy garden/weeding work, no callus or thorn cuts either.

MSH (or whatever handle he's using this month) has been very effective at kissing the right butt. Often.
Between that, and reporting posts he doesn't like, the boards get tailored the way he likes them.

I can't fathom why either.

A woman's nails will never be the first thing I notice about her, but I will notice them. I have always preferred the French tips. Also, I love the feeling of a woman's nails...a light touch just about anywhere or soft back scratch is nearly always guaranteed to get my motor going.

I generally just stick to Pink and white acrylic on the nails and hot red on the toes.  Sometimes I don't like the contrast but the red does make my toes stand out especially when I am wearing my open toed CFM shoes!!!

I do feel very strongly that doing what we do it is critical to keeping ourselves extra healthy and well manicured. Of course, I am very much so a girly girl and love the little bit of pampering that I do for myself.  I don't go overboard as I am pretty frugal. However, I do love taking care of myself.  Plus, I always get compliments from my gentleman friends that they just love my nails and toes.

Plus nothing compares to having my fingers running through chest hairs of my gentleman friends....lightly running them up and down, slowly making my way to their promise land!!!

I used to always have a set of pink and whites with my toes painted to match. But I also decided that my body needed less poisoning (watched the Gerson Miracle), so I have been going [almost] completely no-salon (self-mani/salon pedi) and with just a light coat of a neutral polish when I will have company. I agree that the smells are awful, and can be really bad for us. But I do miss feeling pampered all the time, and the pink and whites are so pretty.

Agree about gloves when gardening. I have been doing a lot of it lately! I couldn't manage without them. But I have just your ordinary anti-thorn gloves. Will the mechanics' gloves protect against thorns?

look sexy but not too long so it causes her grief when she tries to do anything with her hands. Real or fake regarding nails doesn't matter. The color should be flattering to the lady.

FWIW, I don't look at nails when I'm deciding on who I am going to see. Yes, I admire them while I am with someone.

Manicure and pedicure.  As a guy, that means cutting them all as close as possible, and there's a way to know that you've clipped them short enough.  Make a fist...if you can do that without irritating your palms, and leaving nail indentations, you're good.  As for the feet, a day or two before should suffice.  BTW, this will not only please the ladies, it will stretch the life of your socks, not to mention preventing hangnails, which are especially uncool...

I didn't realize that there would be some in support of fungus-laden nails. Is this some sort of fetish? I would think that we all would want our nails to be fungus-free. To each, their own, I suppose.
