I'm surprised it took them a full year to bust the place.

The Daytona Beach Police Chief has always  been very vigilant. And Daytona has always been a HOT with LE.

The link to the BP ad is provided below. It was posted Jan. 11. One could assume LE may be doing stings in the area even now, as major events such as the Daytona 500 (just ended) and the upcoming Bike Week in March are events that draw many people into the area.

There was recently a sting targeting men soliciting underage people for sex via websites like CL, etc. A lot of arrests were made of these local pervs going after kids and teens for sex, and I personally think that's one place LE SHOULD be doing their "job".

But the ad on BP is posted in the Daytona Escorts section. The ad is written as if a guilty husband/previous hobbyist (who possibly got into trouble with LE) is the author. But who really knows - could be LE with a pathetic attempt at a scare tactic. Could even be a desperate local provider tying to "scare away" other girls from conducting their business. Could just be some religious nut who thinks we are all going to hell and this is his/her lame ass way of letting us know trouble is abrew. Whatever.

However, there is an article in the Orlando Sentinel on Feb. 27 that says Daytona Beach police arrested 15 people, 9 women and 1 man, in a prostitution sting this past weekend, which was the big race weekend for the Daytona 500 event. I am not surprised by this; rather I am pissed off. The Daytona Beach police do not have enough man power to deal with the drunk drivers, drug dealers, theives and vandals, and any other chaos that always exists in Daytona and surely abounds during a major event like this. To put their efforts and our tax dollars into arresting 15 consenting adults on prostitution charges is an insult on many levels, and definitely a slap in the face to the taxpayers, IMHO.

I'm just posting this as an FYI for the girls and guys out there, reminding you to stay SAFE and vigilant, and watch out for those turds in the punch bowl who are trying to ruin things for the rest of us.

I don't get it.  15 people, 9 women and 1 man? Were the other 5 juvies?

But they do give a head count on how many were taken into custody. Lately Daytona has had more street action stings not internet types. The man was charged as a pimp so that could leave you to believe underage might be involved with the head count.

It says 15 people total were arrested. 14 women in total over 2 days, and one man.

Thanks god for good looks, because I suck at math!

Polk county is one of the most non tolerant counties for the biz.  As a matter of fact, it was not long ago that the Polk County Sheriff took over a well known agency website.  Their biggest issue there is street prostitution which brings in way too many drug crimes to be tolerated.

The post is good info to share. The link is not. Of course people can google and find it themselves but it has always been against TER rules to post links like that.

Orlando Sentinel article.

My bad!!! I dont thinks it mentioned any names except for the one guy who was arrested.

But you would think the board mods would have caught that before it was posted if it was in violation of TER policy.  Again... Oops!

I'm surprised it took them a full year to bust the place.

have all had busts in the past week. The focus is on street walkers due to the association with known drug hangouts but there have been a couple of busts related to backpage
