Well first of all…welcome to “this thing of ours”. It’s quite the exciting, fun, frustrating, annoying, exhilarating joyride that no roller coaster can match. LOL.
Since you’re relatively new….here’s some things to consider.
While there’s nothing wrong with asking for some help….there are ways that are good to do so, and some that aren’t so much.
As you’ve seen in a small way from the responses to your post, there’s different schools of thought on this. One side says ‘do your own research’ and the other says ‘anything goes’. In the long run the doing your own research thing will benefit you in your experiences, and the level of respect you gain from others…..or at least the ones that ‘matter’.
The best thing you can do is take advantage of the great research tools this site provides. The search feature, while not the be all, end all….is an easy way to narrow down your options and choose what you like. From there you would read reviews. Look at the reviewer’s history to see what their pattern is like and if they seem credible. Then you would send private messages to those reviewers you feel comfortable about and ask them if they have any advice, tips, or if the person in question is actually the ‘real deal’.
Time consuming? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely yes when you consider you are spending your time and hard earned money.
The other side of the coin is doing nothing on your own and just throwing shit out here on the board.
Really not a good idea. Why?
Well for one it’s lazy as hell…and the people who can help you most, are respected, and know what’s going on…..don’t care for lazy. They are the ones who pay for VIP, worked for the knowledge they have, put in the time, formed relationships, respect the providers they are affiliated with, and aren’t in a real hurry to just give that away in public to someone too lazy to do anything or get VIP to read reviews.
Welfare isn’t thought highly of by people who work for what they have….and the same applies in this world.
The other reason it’s not good is because TOO many people conveniently forget the tiny little factor that this thing is freaking illegal as hell and getting busted can seriously ruin lives. This board is public. That means that anyone anywhere can read everything. Hello???? Too many brain-dead knuckle-dragging dipshit guys just throw out names of providers to anyone who posts on the board. They don’t care if the person has reviews, board history or anything. They just SO want to seem like they’re in the know…that they respond to anyone without thinking. When they do this….they are putting a bullseye on a lady…when she may very well NOT want it done. It’s disrespectful….and potentially dangerous.
Just as ladies screen potential clients….we should screen who we choose to give information to.
It’s a show of respect for the ladies who are gracious enough to share with us what they do, it helps to protect fellow hobbyists in this thing, and it promotes personal responsibility. Nothing wrong with any of those things.
While I hope you enjoy your foray into this world….I also hope you will choose to be one of the good, responsible ones……..and not venture over to the dark side with the lazy stupid bastards. LOL.
