He may be shy or does not want the added bs of having to wine and dine her "hoping" to get laid, with no guarantee. I see no problem with college students hiring providers. I don't tend to see them myself, but I don't think it's absurd that guys in college towns where random ass is all over, would still prefer a 5 min. email introduction and have a provider there in hours knowing she is a sure thing.
