Christmas , Valentine's Day  or any other holiday  ?

I don't play on the Jewish Holidays, and probably hobby less around American Holidays as well, because the days off make it difficult to sneak out of the house...

A lot more money being spent on gifts and such. I will, however, put enough aside for a couple of presents for me to "unwrap".

with so many family in town; especially considering I never play where I live.

More the reason to play more in January.

I can tell you that it really does slow down during the holidays.  Depending on where you live, of course!  When I lived up north, everybody went south to visit grandparents.  Now I live in the FL panhandle (Pensacola) and I get a flood of guys who are out "golfing" to get away from the in-laws during their stay.  I can totally sympathize.  I suppose too much family can be intense.  And as always, after the holidays are over, well...grandpa needs lovin' too!  So my usual clientele comes back out to play.

Usually means looking for someone to spend time with while friends are with their families.
