"I'm beginning to wonder if Photoshop in particular is distorting the reality of relationships between the sexes - in or out of the business.

I think a big problem is occuring that we as a culture are getting more than used to viewing images that Photoshop humans out of recognition. When we meet a real live person - well, there can be more than an element of disappointment because they often don't really look like their photo, even if it's honestly recent.

Then there are people who are really not photogenic but are absolutely stunning and amazing in person. And vice versa. I often look at what I think are puny-looking little women and think how well they would photograph. But in reality they're not the ones that sexier men go for.

I know lots of women - and men - who are trying to find their one and only online. I'm told men are so used to more plastic images that even if women in real life are absolutely stunning, somewhat more natural photos are not attracting the type of men they're used to attracting in real life.

Thoughts welcome...
