I'm just not seeing what the issue with a cab is.

Good Morning,

About 3 months ago I had my driving privileges suspended because of a DUI (I know stupid).  Since then I have been mostly seeing only ladies who provide outcall.  Due to nosy neighbors at my apartment complex, I typically get a room at a local hotel close to my apartment.  Recently I wanted to see a lady who is well reviewed on here but only provides incall.  I provided the requested info (references, TER Handle and the fact that I am Whitelisted by a provider with over 400 reviews) and made the appointment.  On the day of the appointment I called a cab to take me to her incall location and upon seeing me exit the cab the lady refused to see me.  Her stated reason was because I arrived in a cab.  Not wanting to cause a scene I left, in the rain, with the cab already gone.  

My question for all, but specifically the ladies, is 2 part: 1)  How should I handle the transportation situation in future?  There are a few ladies I would like to see but they only provide incall.   Should I alert the lady to the fact that I will be in a cab?
2) How do the ladies feel about seeing a local gentleman who has a hotel room for the purposes of the meeting?

explain the situation to her up front. If she's okay with you coming in a cab, great. If she's not okay with it, then all you can do is move on unless one of your friends can drive you there. Of course, you can always have the cab drop you off a block or two from the incall location, then walk the rest of the way.

A it wouldn't of made a difference to me because south Florida is filled with many tourists and not all of them choose out all or rent a car. Take NY city for example. If providers refused to see gentlemen if they arrived via cab they would have no business.  You could of told her straight up of your situation, although I don't believe that is really anybodys business. Just the same as many providers do not drive for various reasons and DUI or current drinking problems could be only one of many reasons.  My heart goes out to you. If you had to leave in the rain. That is a sad situation, at the same time though, I have to ask this question, was the provider well reviewed? And reputable? And I ask this question only because when I do incalls I tend to stay at places that are 3.5 stars and above and I don't or usually can not see the mode of transportation a guest arrives in. You should of called a limo service and left in that and taught her a lesson that not to judge a book by its cover.

Elle, She is a local provider and does incall at her apartment.  And yes she is reviewed and all reviews are good.

...but in the future, to avoid a repeat, I would just advise the provider that you are arriving via cab. You do not need to give an explanation why. Quite frankly, you should not even have to tell her about the cab because it is no one's business. Unfortunately though, safety and security are an issue for providers and perhaps arriving in a cab is unusual in your area of the city/county and she was hesitant.   That is understandable, but the situation could have been handled quite differently on her part. That was not appropriate behavior since you were well verified.

Regarding seeing a local gentleman at a local hotel is no problem at all either.  I do not offer incall at my home and secure a local hotel for discretion and safety purposes, why shouldn't you? Once again, an explanation is not needed since it is no one's business why you are at a hotel, but a brief, simple explanation would  avoid and any problems.

Elle is right.  Your DUI and driving circumstances are noones business.  Why would taking a cab matter and what could it possibly mean?  There was something else going on here.  Either her spidey senses were already raised due to something else or she had something else going on.  If she is a member here, I encourage you to post her name and hear her side of it.

Make you walk away in the rain after being dropped off by a cab seems that neighbors would take notice. Not a smart move on here part but sometimes we would do things differently if we had time to think. Also got you thinking that you might of made a little slip by not giving her more info like " i'm arriving in a cab".

Has she contacted you to apologize ?

There have been a few busts in Central Florida with unusual scenarios so who knows what's next with LE. What area did this take place?

I would have been comfortable with the cab but for an unsuspecting lady in a residential area maybe not quick on her feet....well you already got all wet and know that answer.

Did she verify you by first and last name or did she just take your info here and at most contact another provider ? Obviously whatever she did to verify you wasn't enough or she would have been comfortable with the situation.

If your going to an incall other than a hotel I would let the lady know upfront just so it doesn't happen again

She's wearing egg on her face right now and holding her breath in front of this jury. You can make or break her good name which she deserves but it's the holidays. I'm sure she knows how bad this looks and is being spanked right now seeing this posted.

My wild guess is that she didn't do her due diligence in screening you and then freaked. Whether we are a hobbyist or a provider, our biggest concern does have to be safety and LE. Both parties in this game must respect the judgement of a well reviewed/whitelisted TER participant.
Have you tried to contact her and find out what happened? Shit happens. Shit happens in every business. Personally, I'd give a well reviewd provider a chance to make ammends. Any good reputable person would  apologize and offer to make it up to you.  I would try this route first before posting any personal info.

As far  as what she did to screen me I have no idea.  I provided her the info she requested, what she did with it I have no idea.  To a certain extent I do see her point/concern and do not hold anything against her.  She made a snap decision and I respect it regardless of what transpired after that.  Based on what I am seeing here, it seems the best policy going forward is to let the provider know I will be arriving in a cab to avoid this happening again.  I appreciate all the feedback from the ladies as well as the gentlemen.

As for revealing her name, she is reviewed on the site but does not participate.  Her reviews are 7-9/8-10 so my thinking is this was a one time thing and could have been avoided had I alerted her to the situation.  With that said, I would not want to reveal her name in a public forum.

cab obviously spooked this provider.  Or, was it what you were wearing?  The fact that you appeared not to be an "refined gentleman who enjoys the company of an upscale lady" or however she words her ads.  Did she tell you over the phone that because you got out of a cab, she was not going to see you?  Have you followed up with her for a more detailed reason to turn you down when you were already at her place?  

In any case, you deserved to be treated much better.  As a fellow hobbyist here in Florida, I would like to know who she is so I don't send any business her way.  If you don't want to mention her name on the board, how about a PM?

I'm trying to be a devil's advocate and see this from the provider's perspective. I recently read a post by a hobbyist who had a nosy neighbor who wondered why he had attractive young ladies arriving at his home from time to time. My first thought was that he should tell the neighbor they were realtors, and he was hoping they could find him a new place without such nosy neighbors. Then I read this post and began to wonder if this lady didn't have some elaborate tale she had told her neighbors to explain her frequent male visitors, and the taxi just didn't fit her story. I know it's a stretch, but she may have had her reasons ...

I have no doubt she had her reasons and I respect what ever reasons they were.  The point of my post was not to create a problem for this lady rather to get feedback on how I should proceed in the future if I see a lady who offers only incall as well as get a lady's perspective on the cab issue as well as the "local using a hotel" issue.  There is a lady here in Tampa who offers only incall that I would like to see and want to have my ducks in a row before I make contact..

As for PMing the lady's name, I am currently not a VIP Member but just submitted a review so I should be able to do that in a few days.

I've had several couples and gentlemen visit me in a limo, cab or with a driver.  I think it's rude to leave the poor man in the rain just because he came in a cab ( he could also be visiting from another city), unless she had prior plans to go somewhere else afterwards, but for a scheduled date, I think it's wrong to leave a person hanging like that.  If I had time, I would drop them near there home or near a central location where they could grab a drink to call a cab from there.

If she is flaky enough to be afraid of someone in a cab, there may be other issues that we should avoid....

I just can't think of one.  Makes absolutely zero sense to me.  What could possilby be "wrong" with someone who takes a cab?

She said, basically, that she didn't realize I would be in a cab and that she didn't feel comfortable.  Like I said before, I'm sure she had her reasons and that was all I needed to hear.
