why and when do you use a alias both men and women

my answer is NEVER.  you do not know me. I am a member here, as are others. I have never met one to my knowledge. I have plenty of reviews. Maybe not in the  accepted demographic, but they are reviews. We post on a fuck board whether we are fuckers or fuckees, so why try to hid the identity? go ahead and all you regular hatters jump in but maybe some of you that think it is shitty will post also.

When I feel cowardly and tempted to use an alias, I think of LucasHood's example. If you want to say something unpleasant, do it in your real handle. Maybe what you were gonna say shouldn't be said.

Using an alias is a cowards way of standing up for what you believe in. Perhaps it might not be everyone else's view but no one will even think of yours if you don't have the guts to say" I believe in this". Being out in left field can have a purpose if you are known and not always off base.

PC hobbyists and hookers, generally have little or no use for an alias. Some of the biggest hooker opponents of aliases are the worse gossipers and backstabbers around, preying on their own kind but off the boards.

I would much rather hear some honesty from an alias then some cheap whiney ass kissing from a "real" handle who's purpose is getting gratification by fawning and slobbering over some grannies to ingratiate himself with others.

To give you a direct answer, because I can and whenever I fee like it.

BTW, what is a hatter

very handle here is an alias. Why complicate that?
I have never understood it and always felt it is cowardly

I'm with HCM on this all the way. If people can't handle carrying on an *adult* conversation under their username/primary alias I don't think the comments belong. There is too much "swinging below the belt" dealt out by aliases and people who feel a need to create multiple usernames across several IP/Computer for rent locations (i.e. business centers, internet hubs/cafes, gaming centers, etc.) so that they can employ an endless amount of fake personalities and unaccountable aliases. It seems that half of the posts on the Florida board are under aliases which is a huge turn off for me personally with regard to posting. The simplest of threads are often skewed into an ugly direction by aliases who are looking for ways to create problems, ugliness and negativity on the board. I believe that the boards *can* exist without the beat downs, name calling and reputation smear campaigns --- hence, without aliases. And finally, I'm *far* more likely to respect and actually **hear** someone's position on things when they speak as themselves.

I can't count how many times I look at what aliases are saying and just shake my head in disgust -- and ultimately, closing the page and exiting TER for the day. I'm not perfect and every once in a while, I take the bait, engage with an alias and as per the usual - see my good name being splayed and tested everywhere. Me trying to stick up for myself against one particular participant of the board who people know to be a repetitious offender of bringing other providers to their knees turned me into the devil of the board. I could have come out swinging under an alias but I'm better than that. I'll take the hits dealt by the alias and will walk away to lick my wounds in private.

Finally -- TER wasn't birthed so that people could come here after a bad day or bad week and then use the forum as a virtual punching bag. The Erotic Review, in my opinion, is a community (key word "community") of people who are supposed to be here for pleasurable purposes and to be a part of an **incredibly** special group of like-minded individuals. With that said - aliases be gone! And, be gone for good (and for the good of the community!!).

Exactly! And notice that all the whiny hookers who protest are the ancient, haggard, BSC and broke ones? It's summer in FL. The easy biz has bolted. All these lazy, ugly hookers have left is to bash those of us who don't put up with their inanity.

As you regulars can easily research, I am not a regular poster here.  The primary reason I don't post is the negativity that you find here.  If you notice most of the above posts are the subject of negative posts.  The "drama queens" and most prominently the "drama kings" rise to the occasion here.  Quick to put someone down because they think the person is not as "hip" or "experienced" as they are.  This sort of attitude discourages folks from being active in a positive way.

Now to why I really am posting this under an alias.  I just want to say I use this occasional (And it has been quite a while since I posted under my real log in name.) because I want to.  Maybe there is someone (or more) who know(s) me personally who I prefer to not know my opinion on a given subject.  For someone to criticize anyone that they don't even know the first thing about is very immature and not someone that I care to associate with.

Come on, let's cut the negativity and enjoy this a little more - it might surprise you.

Never post anything I would not stand by.  I refrain from getting in insignificant bickering with someone I never met, nor likely to.  Try not to put anyone down, or insult anyone.  If someone doesn't like something I post, oh well, they have a right to dislike it.  If they disagree, great gives variety.  Most of all, not afraid stand up and say, yes that's me.

Got to agree with Haley here.  Opinion is only a coward hides behind a alis!
