Need some advice- thinking about visiting

I am thinking about joining a friend on her spring break and was looking into the Sarasota area.

Is that a good place to visit- any advice?

I would be visiting sometime between April 10th and April 17th, depending on my friend's schedule.

I am going back to school in the fall and had to change my name to protect my identity.
