I had an experience much like that of Upncummin. I heard about an out of state lady who has fantastic reviews and who a few guys I know have met and tell me she is strikingly attractive.
I sent her an email asking her to contact me before her next Florida trip as I would enjoy seeing her. She replied she was coming back in three weeks.
I sent her an email with two references (including links to TER reviews, web sites, and phone numbers) and all the other contact information she asked for on her contact page.
I also told her mornings worked best for me and that I was flexible with my dates so whatever day worked best for her was fine.
About two weeks went by and I had heard nothing back so I sent another email just checking to see if she was still coming. She wrote back to tell me yes and again asked for my reference information. I sent it all to her again.
About four days prior to her visit I got another email telling me what day would work best for her and asking again for my references (this was her third request and my third response). The references checked out and I got an email saying we were all set.
I sent her a note asking if I could call her prior to the meeting just to introduce myself and to break the ice so to speak. She said that would be fine and gave me her phone number (not listed on her site or her review page).
Since I was going to be seeing her in Tampa and I live in Orlando, I asked her what part of town she would be staying in since it can be an hour and a half to a two and a half hour drive depending on where she would be staying and I wanted to make sure I gave myself enough drive time.
I called her number two days before our appointment and got a recording saying the number was out of service. I called again as I thought I must have misdialed and got the same recording.
I called again the next day (the day before our appointment) and again got the recording saying the number is out of service. I called later that afternoon and got her voicemail. I left a message on it saying I had called four times and I kept getting the out of service message.
I was not confrontational in any way, I just wanted to makes sure she was aware there was a problem with her phone. I did not want to get all the way to Tampa and find out it was not working again.
I also still wanted to find out what area of Tampa she would be staying.
She sent me an email saying that my calling her four times in two days was not going to make her call me back any sooner and that she would give me her location when I got to Tampa. Hmmm, for those of you who have never been to Tampa, at certain times of the day it can take an hour to get from one area to Tampa to the another.
By this time I felt what ever anticipation I had to see her had been lost so I sent her a note telling her it is probably better for us if we canceled the appointment and wished her luck and continued success.
Sadly, she is one I really wanted to see. She continues to get rave reviews and seems very highly regarded. Sometimes I guess things just don't click.
wondering why so many providers just don't show up- say they are on their way or they will call right back? does this happen often to anyone else? buffalo and tampa seem to be the ones- scared? just enjoy knowing your waiting? their busy or don't want to come out and don't whant anyone else to see you? anyhone want to shine a light on this? thanks
Never had that happen to me in over 60 provider visits. But, I do careful research, using reviews here, other boards, talking to hobbyists, etc., before booking someone new. If you stick to well-reviewed providers and research them, NC-NS should be at a minimum.
I'm in Tampa, and not saying it does not happen here, but I have not heard of many like that around here. If you are getting providers off of CL, that is more likely to happen, than with TER ladies with reviews.

Swim is right. Lay off the CL girls and seek a provider who is professional and highly reviewed.
They are flakes. No other way to explain it.
Swimmie, as usual, is right on-Do your homework and research and stick with TER girls with good reviews-I have been 'no showed' only once and the provider after I contacted her made up for it the following day-If someone ncns's you and doesn't contact you why if you seek an explanation, i'd just move on-there are too many wonderful girls to fool with someone who is so discourteous and irresponsible-Stuff happens, but a call regarding being unable to make an appointment is just common courtesy-for both provider and hobbiest-1rob...OUT
pulled off something similar. A couple months ago, there was a lady coming to Tampa from out of state. I'd never seen her before, did my homework, and got in touch. She was going to be here from Wed. thru Mon. (which is cool cuz I play on weekends). So I wrote her, sent all of the info (the thursday before when she posted on this board) I didn't hear back until the following monday. I had requested a 4PM Sat. (2hr)date. She checked my references (one of them told me). When she did get back to me it was good to go. Wednesday, she contacted me and said she only had the room until noon on Sat., so could I see her Friday, or Early Saturday? I explained to her that I could not get the time off on that short of a notice, and had a committment Sat AM...Hence the Sat afternoon date. Thursday I got another Email...this time stating that she had a personal problem back home and had to cut her trip short. I figured if she had a problem, she couldn't help it, so I wrote back and said "no problem, maybe next trip". Later that day, another e mail, stating that she would still be able to see me if I could make it Friday or early Saturday!!!! HUH???? That was the same thing she said BEFORE the "personal problem"...I guess it wasn't THAT big a problem!
So I politely told her "let's just forget it"
No...it wasn't a "no show"....but it was an irritating exercise in futility with someone who made you feel like an ATM....and she wanted to withdraw the money totally on HER terms!!! So It can happen with ladies who are well reviewed, and who you did your homework on...although that is NOT the norm!!! I think the reviews should have one more Yes or No box with the question simply being....Is the provider a Flake????
I moved to Dallas recently and TER is not that well used here. I usually go to Eros, find the ladies that visually turn me on, then check out their reviews on TER. Here only about 1 in 20 on eros have TER reviews... they has aspd here which tells you nothing and is impossible to navigate efficiently.
So, I checked BP (never CL) and searched for ladies with websites... from there I got a feel for who I thought would be great. 3 out of 3 were no shows, ie - call when you get here and I'll give final instructions. NO answer when I called.
During this time, I did find a few ladies here with great TER reviews and now I'm seeing 3 different ladies (not going to fall in love with just ONE again)... all fantastic, all live up to their reviews and I'm feeling like a stud muffin again!
Moral of the story - do your homework... flakes are everywhere in any walk of life, just as there are professionals but it takes some effort to find them. TER has it's problems, but it's the best source we've got - learn to use it wisely.

Yep...and I see she's gonna be back here soon....is booking dates.....and has NO place to host...gonna do outcalls during a tour!? I guess the guys in her home town are a lot more understanding....OR....she plays a LOT less games there! 
Perhaps, you are choosing providers that don't have a great reputation for being professional. Not sure what type of ladies you like to see but there are several ladies In Tampa ( not sure about Buffalo) that show up and are very professional.
Maybe you should step up the quality of your choice? (assuming this is the problem, please do not take offense)
