I would choose the lingerie.  

However, neither of those were the thing I enjoyed most.  

The most thrilling attire I have ever experienced was an appointment where when the door opened, standing behind it was a beautiful lady dressed in nothing but her smile.  

Now that got my attention and would be my preference every time.

Can I vote for both?  I LOVE a sexy dress or skirt, but bra, g-string and heels are a must too!  Throw in a sexy fur coat and I'm your man!  ;-)

That makes it seem more like a real date.  Of course, sexy underwear underneath is nice too.  I prefer bikini panties or boyshorts to thongs along with a sexy bra.  Getting to remove all this stuff is a turn on for me.

Lingerie, no doubt.  MAybe a pink Lacey thing or black seems to work just fine.

I prefer a sexy dress, like someone I have just met in a bar or some other social venue and drooled over. You don't see women dressed in lingerie at these kinds of events. That can come later.

Usually, I go to meet a provider at her incall, so she usually greets me in sexy lingerie.
