In Argentina prostitution itself (exchanging sex for money) is legal, but organized prostitution (brothels, prostitution rings, pimping etc) is illegal [16]. According to Article 19 of the Constitution: ‘private actions that in no way offend order and public morals or do damage to a third party are reserved to be judged by God and fall outside the competence of judges’. Argentine prostitutes are, in fact, very expensive. Several studies show prostitution rates in Argentina to be the fifth highest among major countries. (This may be true relative to the cost of living in Argentina, but in absolute terms prostitutes earn far less in Argentina than in any European or North American country.)

I have to agree about the price of the hobby in Argentina, but I place more of the blame on the resurgence of their currency and the cost of living that you alluded to in your post.

Argentina used to be the home of some of the biggest bargains in the world where it came to dining, lodging not to mention the hobby. There are still casas in BA where you will only pay about $40 US for a reasonably good time with a rather attractive woman, but by and large you will pay rates more commensurate with the United States than South America.

The rest of the Continent is a hobbyists dream, from Colombia and Venezuela in the north all the way down to Paraguay and Brazil. With the exception of Argentina and to a lesser extent Chile, I can't think of a better place to hobby except possibly Asia.

take a short trip to Sao Paulo and you'll be way better off.
