Alright guys, I couldn't resist posting about one unforgettable night at Scores in Tampa on a quiet Sunday night. An out of town friend was visiting and wanted to head out. I'm not quite the strip club connoisseur I once was when living in NYC but have been exploring my Tampa digs over the last couple of years. I've been to Mons, The Penthouse Club, 2001 Odyssey, SKIN (in Ybor) and some other place on Dale Maybry that I can't remember the name of and most recently, Scores. Scores is now my Tampa favorite.  

I was expecting the evening to be super mellow and maybe even a little slow. I had no idea that as I was arriving around 10 PM that I'd be rolling back out around 2 AM or so (I can't remember : ) 100% inebriated and on a stripper high that I haven't been on since living in NYC. Who knew that Sunday night is industry night at Scores and that the place is actually jumpin' inside? There was a very large party of guys sharing bottle service at the VIP table, they had curtains pulled closed for a group in the back of the club, the bar seats were full, up near the stage was a small row of visiting athletes (I didn't recognize George Clooney when I ran into him in NYC so don't ask me their names), there was a foursome of married couples off to my right and the rest of the seats were dotted with gentlemen friends. The DJ was serving up a thick mix of hip hop and the crowd was really jiving together. Now then - as for the girls, there was some of the best talent I've ever seen up on stage. Not every single girl was great but the few who stood out were outstanding!! The kind of outstanding where you just can't believe what you're seeing. The only thing about Scores that I didn't like is that the girls were a bit snobby about coming around for lap dances (trust me, my date was a cutie and the bills were flowing in all directions) so we were a bit turned off that we had to ask the bartenders to send some girls out that would visit. The high end talent was great to watch but don't expect a lap dance! -- Imagine that - it was difficult to spend money in a strip club??? Hmmm - wondering if that's even more of a reason for you guys to go? You'll still have bills in your pockets as you exit the door. LOL!!!     In all honesty, it was probably one of those special nights where the girls could pick and choose who they danced for and well -- if you have the chance to dance for an obvious national league baseball player or a 50 something gent with a high powered job she has no clue about who do you think the 20 something young lady is going to choose?


I have favorite clubs in NYC and San Francisco too! I'd love to know where to go in DC and Chicago if anyone knows?

Have fun everyone and remember to never, ever drink and drive!!! A cab will always be more affordable than a DUI.
