Please allow me to apologize for the use of the alias.  As you read this I hope you understand why I used it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I need your advice.

I have seen a lady about a dozen times over the past year and a half so I guess I might be considered a "regular" client of hers.  

She is very popular but seldom posts on TER.  I have never asked for nor have been offered time off the clock (we have had a couple meetings run slightly over time) or any menu items not on her profile.

She has been in the business for a few years and during that time has had two separate $100 price increases from her original price.  I have always paid her most current price.

She shared with me that she has a few regular clients who have seen her continuously since she began and are grand fathered in at each of her older rates.  I understand that and have no problem with it.

At the end of last year, she joined one of the national referral sites and for about three months offered a $100 discount to new guys who saw her through this site.

I have talked with two guys who saw her while she was giving these special prices.  One was a guy from out of state who was in Florida on a business trip.  The other is a Florida guy who is very active but seldom sees the same girl twice.  Each of these guys is unlikely to see her again even though each of them gave her very high ratings on their reviews of her.

Here is where it gets kind of dicey.  

If I tell her I know she offered guys she has never seen the chance to see her at a lower cost than she was (and continues) to charge me, she will probably feel I am trying to take advantage of her by trying to beat her price down.  I am concerned that this will affect her attitude towards me as a continuing client.

On the other hand, I feel like I am running a marathon with a pebble in my shoe.  The longer this goes on, the more irritating it is to me and it affecting my desire to see her again (I gave her my highest review rating I have ever given).  

I also realize that had she offered me this special price going forward, with the money saved on all the subsequent times I have seen her, I could have seen her two or three more times in the past eight months.

My question is two fold.  One, ladies is there a benefit to you by having repeat clients and if you offer a special do you feel any obligation to share that special with your regular clients?

Secondly, if you were in my shoes (pebble and all), what would you do going forward?

In my opinion, she should have a special price for a short period of time (for example's sake, let's say 15 days), and extend this special pricing for both old and new customers. She would gain new, potential long-term customers; she would see customers who might have seen her once but would reconsider seeing her again because of the price; and she would continue good customer relations/service with her regulars by allowing them an opportunity to save a little now for later future visits.  She might even benefit by getting longer appts by some of her regulars with the "temporary" reduced price, thereby seeing a larger boost to her bottom- (hee-hee!!)line.

Much depends on her business plan. Unfortunately, I do not think many providers put into place a good business plan when they get into this business; and, unfortunately, make decisions that affect good will and their overall customer service.

and yes there is a benefit to seeing the same person over and over again. It's called friendship and lord knows we all could use a big dose of that.

Also not having to worry about LE is always a relief to me but others may feel they need not worry.

My price has been the same for many years. I never run specials but to my real good friends we will spend more time when I can.

If you don't bring up this problem both you and your favorite lady will grow apart real quick. It's no fun to be with someone you feel is taking advantage of you as I know the feeling well. Mention it to her and you will know if you have judged this ladies affection for you in the proper perspective.

As far as her seeing gentlemen who will only see her once that may not be a problem for her. Reviews may be top priority on her list and good ones at that. She makes her money off the forums attention and the new gentlemen it brings her. Their the ones who will be writing a new review and getting her more attention not you.

If I were in your shoes, I'd run to find a new regular GFE, cause if you bring it up to her, you won't get her best from her (grudge), & if you don't bring it up to her, you foot will be festered w/blisters. Now just run along & find some new fun stuff to play with...there's more & more fun to be had out there when jogging around w/out pebbles in your shoes.

Florida has way too many fine providers to get hung up on one. I'd see her less often, and if she wonders why, just say the economy is taking too much of a financial toll, and maybe she'll cut you a break...

HUH???

On second thought...don't even bring it up....go find someone new to fall in love with.  Since you have been so mouselike and have refused to "sqeak" up....she will not care much for the "new you"!  It's just human nature...you've established a pattern, and NOW you want to change!  Won't work!

Start out new, and with a different approach. (don't let yourself be taken advantage of)!
There are ladies out there who offer better rates for return visitors. At worst, MOST will grandfather you when a price increase happens.

 

Just to clear up one point, all her price increases happened prior to me ever seeing her so that was never intended to be part of the question.

Move on.  It appears she does not value your business.

Once upon a time I saw a great lady who charged $500 for 90 minutes.  Eight months later her rate was $450 for 1 hour and $650 for 90 minutes.  I know my salary hadn't gone up that fast, especially in the economy we are now in.
