Does anyone know if there is still a planned M&G for central FL?
The date was stated as May 14 and the hosts Paris and Sophie.
Sophie's newsletter travel schedule shows her in NYC from the 13th to the 16th.
Is this normal, or is the party over before it's begun?

Yes, the Central Fla Meet and Greet is being cancelled for a couple of reasons:

1. Not enough interest.
2. Sophie will now be out of town during the time it was arranged.

I had wondered the same thing when I got Sophie's e-mail and had asked her.  She said she was no longer co-hosting.

There's good & bad to this:

BAD - No M&G to see all the sexy ladies and I lose an excuse for a golf trip.

GOOD - I had not yet gotten a plane ticket and Sophie is going to visit Philly (so at least I get to see her).

Is there really that much of a lack of interest?
I'm surprised. Maybe that's because I'm new and never been to one.
Was the timing off for people?
Are people really that jaded about them and kind of 'over it'?
Do personalities get in the way?

I'm just very curious...because if there's any way to generate a good one...and just throw a fun party.....hell....I'll do it.
I don't know too many people yet....so everyone would be welcome...LOL.

Any suggestions or input would be greatly welcomed by this "new guy".

Surely I can't be the only one who likes to put on decent clothes and toss a few back once in a while.  

Although I mostly lurk, I would be very interested in a local M&G.

If not anything else, to meet the ladies in a non business situation to feel out personalities and see whom I might connect with better; either sexually or interests wise.

Will be looking out for the next projected date.

I am truly curious how much of an awkward feeling it is to attend your first M&G or any M&G for that matter. What pops into my mind is walking into a room and all of the sudden finding a friend, co-worker or family member that is also in the hobby. Or even the possibility of finding out that a friend, co-worker or family member is a provider.

Has this happened to anyone or anyone that you know?


Of course there is always the problem of your bucket growing exponentially in one night.

Arrived at a date with a provider to find it was my son's former high school girlfriend.  We had a laugh & a really good time.  My son, who knows I "hobby", thought it was pretty funny as well. I was pissed that I had to pay for what he got for free, lol.

I also ran into a former schoolmate from my graduate program at an informal M&G - bought him a drink.

I was very interested and looking  forward to it. Maybe I missed something, but were we suppose to reply already saying we would attend in May?

I agree with the above comments.  First my apologies if I was supposed to have responded by a certain time.

I was and am definitely interested.  It would be my first M&G.  But if, as noted above, I was to meet a female from another part of my life I would consider that lucky.

And if I were to meet someone I knew profesionally, well then, it would be nice to know that we had something in common other than work
