And of course if aliases are eliminated, than truly honest reviews would be few and far between. Of course ladies don't like aliases. And of course all ladies accept reviews fairly with grace and class and don't intimidate, bully or threaten guys who give critical reviews right? Not been my experience at all. If you do your job well what do you have to fear? Some bullies on the board you don't like? Ignore them they'll go away.
I hate ISO's. Burn alive at the stake anyone who posts one. Drama? Often the same 'drama queens.' You know all too well who they are............

.... so the new concept might be working. I noticed today that TER removed the "like" feature on the photo only board which is kind of cool as it seems that they're trying to remove the competitive nature that has already been revealing itself on the photo only forum.
I agree with you about the Florida discussion board. It's become an advertising board in a sense because all I see are a wasteland of ISO ads by aliases and one time review writers. I almost think it's time for TER to create a separate place for ISOs in an attempt to clean the board up. Take away the theme days and ISO ads and the Florida board won't look like much but I think that in a way - if it's empty of all the clutter people might join back in for a thread here and there.
With that said, I think there should be tighter rules around aliases and how they participate on the boards. I personally do not employ one. If I have something to say I'll say it bravely and clearly as myself - Laney. The reason why I mention this is because I know that I purposely refrain from posting on TER because it seems that no matter what I say or which position I take someone is always there to criticize and to take a low swing at my knee caps. I'm fairly certain everyone has enough to think about and plenty of problems in life without coming online to a place that's supposed to be supportive, friendly and about pleasure only to be knocked down and kicked around by aliases and the giant personalities who seem to have placed their own stamp of ownership over the boards. It would see that anytime anyone outside of the "inner circle" posts it's like a fresh kill for the wolves who've not had their fill of ugliness and negative drama lately.
I'll go as far as saying that I've become afraid of posting on the boards because of the trouble it seems to invite. TER isn't able to moderate what happens outside of their forum so unfortunately a post on the board is more of an invitation to be harassed privately by the big dogs. I've found that those who've named themselves "owners" of the Florida territory scream really loud for a really long time so that they drown everyone else out to the point that their screaming message is the only one people hear. I don't have the time or energy for that, those people or those types of antics so I generally steer clear all together.
Circling back to ISO's you'd think that an ISO reply would be a safe thread to participate in. I've learned that when I reply to an ISO publicly, a provider who's a part of the "big dog" club contacts the original poster to tell them how awful and horrible I am and to stay away from me. (too funny and downright catty/desperate but okay ; ) I'm sure as you're reading this that even you're thinking it's pretty bad when even an ISO post can turn into a hate campaign. I also think that allowing people/aliases to continue to participate anonymously from such an vindictive place that the boards will dry up all together. People aren't fond of talking to those they can't identify, profile or find a link to their personality and it's not a fair fight when it's just a bunch of people hiding behind aliases slinging their unhappiness with themselves around at others. People expect to have a reasonable discussion (even if heated at times) with reasonable personalities using reasonable terms, words and boundaries. People don't want to have their ideas and thoughts twisted just because an alias can and people don't want to have to defend the twisted perceptions and concepts aliases often challenge regular users with. If the board moderator were somehow able to keep people on topic and to omit some of the hate motivated aliases we might just see some life come back to the Florida board.
Just my humble (and long winded

opinion -
