and just posted a new pic on my site and made the announcement too on my site. As well as I will be changing my ter profile in a few mins.
I have never had guys complain because it really does not take away from the service and fun I provide. Yet a really good question. Here is a pic of the new color... Makenzie Rae
Good question. I think it's about expectations. I had an encounter with a lady that went from red to blonde. All of her pictures showed red hair. Not when I showed up. Yes, it was a bit of a surprise. On top of that, she didn't really look much like those smoking hot pictures in her ad - that was probably a bigger disappointment. Of course, I would never say anything, because I am a gentleman and she was a nice lady, but it wasn't what I was looking for.
just click report a problem and ask that your hair color be changed to .... . Also perhaps put a note on your contact and introduction page of your website.
I think if the pictures are a good representation of you and you mention the hair color change in your initial contact most men could care less. There are some who are partial to redheads, blondes or brunettes and might be somewhat disappointed.
The gentlemen who posted before me put it into perspective ...
If a lady has photos as a blonde I'd expect to see blonde.. To arrive and her have red or brunette or purple with pink stripes would be a shock to the system.. Esp. the purple!! LOL!! But seriously why advertise as one and be another?? It's a misrepresentation and I'd be wary of what else would end up being misrepresented.. Me 2 cents...
Most of my life I have changed my hair frequently, usually every few months. Now I feel like I have to stay in the blonde tones with just slight variations because of managing expectations in this industry. I doubt anyone would notice if I changed the color on my ter profile but maybe noting it in the first email communication would probably be sufficient. I certainly would not try to intentionally misrepresent for any negative reason and obviously if the rest of me looks the same, as it would, the client would see that right away. I have a solid reputation so I don't worry too much about someone thinking anything else is being misrepresented. I was just curious how much it really matters to people. I would like to have the flexibility of changing it frequently but obviously don't want it to affect my business in a negative way. I wonder if my regulars might enjoy the change as long as it's still flattering. Sounds like it does matter quite a bit though so l will have to keep that in consideration still. Thanks for the feedback. Xo Alex
Suggestions...especially for new clients, indicate the hair color has changed on your initial email, and/or....add some pictures of you with different hair color to your gallery. That shows that sometimes you change your hair color, so, if it's important to the client, he should ask.
Right now my website shows me both as a blonde and a brunette. I just came back to work full time- I previously worked full time for three years straight- and had professional pictures done monthly. This time around I was not sure 1- if I was just going to be back for the holidays and 2- what color I look better in so I definitely was not going to invest the money I used to in photo shoots. I get a mixed answer who likes me better - blonde or brunette... Some guys do ask what color hair I have now. I have told the ones booking now I have dark hair but blonde could be back anytime without notice
