...these are NOT the new host/hostess. The list is of those who picked the NAME host/hostess and they will get free VIP time. Remember the post a few weeks ago from Admin suggesting the "Cruise Dirctor"postition? Admin asked us for suggestions for the "title" of the position since most disliked "cruise director". Admin offered free VIP time if you suggestion was chosen.
Admin has NOT announced the people to hold the first Host/Hostess position. That is list of people who merely suggested the name "host/hostess" instead of cruise director. I am sure that Admin will select two well-known and respected people from the Florida Board. Just wait and see. It's a change, but I am sure it will all be okay once we get used to it.
...and I feel your confusion. I am trying to do my best to explain, as did South Florida Guy above. Check the link below. It is the original post from a few weeks ago from Admin. It also has all of the replies from everyone about suggesting "titles" for the new position. You will see some suggested "Cruise Director", "Stewards/Steweardess", "president", "foruminators" etc. You will also see posts by a few participants who suggested "Host/Hostess". That is name of the title that Admin choose for the new position. As promised, the people who chose that name got free VIP days.
The people who won, may not be well-known or outspoken or post alot, but they are participants anyhow and obviously post. It doesn't matter though, because all they did was pick a "title" for the position. They are NOT the new "host/hostess". Those people have NOT been disclosed yet. I am sure it will be two people that we all know very well.
Also, there are 1000s of people who lurk and read this board every second of every day. Just because they may post once and you may not recognize their name, doesn't mean they don't know full well what is going on on the Florida Board. Some choose to just observe and not participate while other choose to voice their opinions and actively participate. Each type is a valuable member of the community.
