I think we've all heard that one before.

Well it's as true now as it ever was. That's something we should remind ourselves of....especially now.

Yes....the board didn't take long to turn into a cluster fuck. Let's call it like it is. I know I always have....like it or not.
But what the board is today...is not what it was....and not what it will be again.
It's a short term anomaly. A blip on the radar screen. A pimple on an elephant's ass...in the grand scheme of things.

Anyone who has been here for any length of time has seen this before. Change takes place...some people like it...some don't...some take advantage of it.
That's all that's happening now. The whiny cunts (male and female) raised hell behind closed doors and got me booted. Now they're taking advantage of the limited freedom they feel they have, because they aren't being watched so closely. It's like when we had a substitute teacher in school. The bad ones got worse....the middle of the road ones tested their limits...and the good ones got angrier about it. But eventually things changed.
They'll change here too.

The last thing I'd ever want to see is what I'm hearing about. Good people leaving.
If the good leave....the asshats win. You know that's true.

Never forget that whoever owns the site....whoever mods the board.....as I've ALWAYS said since day one....it's the board members that MAKE a board what it is.
This has been the BEST board on the site...and will be again. Soon. Why? Because of the people who contribute in a positive way.

Just take a deep breath....relax...know that things will get better....and continue to fight the good fight...by contributing in a positive way.

Society will always have asshat douchebag chickenshit bitter ugly fucktard losers....you just can't let them think they run things....or run you off.

When we get a new mod....give him a chance. Remember it's a mostly thankless job that isn't easy (understatement of the decade).

I know old mods are supposed to fade off into the sunset....but just wanted to throw that out there.

DD has addressed us in  a forthright manner - constructive and critical.  It becomes clear that the gripers,growlers,blammers, trouble makers, etc, have carried their anger to the powers that be. They may have won their war but the board has lost this battle for now.

How many and how loud they made their unhappiness during DD's time of the upgrading  this board, I do not know.

I ask, how many have made known to the powers that be there appreciation of the progress and upgrade of this board in which DD has lead. It is not past time for this to be done to the administration.

The war will not be won!  The good people on this board will prevail.  The whiners, gossipers and troublemakers will eventually go down in flames.  Admin will realize this soon enough.  These type of people always get outed eventually.  I have a feeling some of them have been outed before.

Sunny you are so right in what you have said.  The good people will always be good and bring the level of the board up.  The people who are the trashers will always be trashers and try to bring down the rules and controls that need to be in place to keep this site and others stable so they can survive.  I am certain the people who operate the "BUSINESS" we call TER will not allow the site to go dead.  It would kill the profits they are making here.  That may sound cold but the reality is TER is a "BUSINESS".  So the trashers will have a short lived victory once they thry to push it farther the corporate money minders will shut them down.  We just have to ride the waves until that time comes.

I leave the country for a while and look what happens! Could somebody fill this lost soul in on what's going on around here? DD....I see your names no longer in RED, so I'm assuming no moderator????? WTF!

Whether it gets me canned as a moderator or not, I believe that DD was the best moderator for this board. That having been said, I feel this is a temporary thing. I have no specific information (I wasn't in the loop on this one, go figure), but I think TER just wants to look at the board for a while and hand it off to fresh blood.  My advice would be to someone who DOES NOT live in Florida, but is still east coast.

Again, I apologize to DD for recommending him as a mod, I'm sure I have indirectly caused him to age in dog years and I owe him multiple cocktails, which he can collect on tomorrow.  My tab is open to you, big guy (well brands only).

That way, hopefully he would have no close friends or mortal enemies in the state.  Would expect him to be more objective if he doesn't know anyone here.

Yikes-I am not on here enough to understand what happened but I do know that I met DD once at a M&G and I liked having at least one face to think of when I did come and post. Hopefully I will meet some of you & DD soon but for now-thanks for always making this NYC girl feel welcome.
