Over 3 years ago a well-known lady here in Florida started the Hobbyist Monday posts.  She was also famous for her songs of the day.  In the past, guys would thank the various ladies who thanked them for memorable times.  Most of the guys would thank the ladies for their "shout out".  That was the purpose of the regular posts.

Now, look what this board has become.  Guys and gals constantly being rude to each other.  For what purpose?  If a hobbyist has something negative to say about a lady, or vice-versa, let him/her share it with her in a PM or e-mail.  The exception should be to out a lady for NCNS, B & S, C & D, etc.  I've done this myself.

Peace to all.

With the new TER system, I no longer approve and post messages. While I still have other mod powers, I can't cut things off as easily as before. So it's really up to you all to make this board what you want it to be.

Will it be like all the other boards?

Or will it be the best board on TER that people flock to from all other cities?

It's up to you!!!

on this board.  For the most part the daily pics provided by the great FL ladies generate a lot of great fun.  There are a lot of topics discussed brought up by both hobbyists, and providers. The kind of crap that just took place is not the norm on this board, and as you know (because you have been on the board over 3 years) it had gotten way beyond a PM handling it for a long, long time!

The FL board will do just fine, it's a great place to hang out, meet people, and just get away from reality!

I DO agree with.....Let's just get on with it, and enjoy what this board can be!

BTW....I would also like to do away with one more thing.....the use of the word "OUT" as a verb LOL!

Or just watch some more porn. That solves a lot of disputes.

You can't argue over the internet if you're jacking off.

...found here on this board. Everyone has been civil and that's the way it should be. Personal stuff should be UTR, with the noted exceptions. Guys and gals are not constantly rude to each other. There is a lot of spirited banter, and good natured joshing, but that's what has made the Florida board the place to be.

I am only an occasional contributor here, but I always read through this board when I log on to TER.  Over the few years that I have been reading the Florida board and other regional boards, I have noticed that the general tenor of communication here is better than most anywhere else.  Much of that can be laid at the feet of Sly, but most of it reflects directly on the attitudes of the hobbyists and providers that post.

The 'Days of the week posts', the humor, the 'shout-outs' and the 'heads up' posts, informational posts, and 'welcome newbie' posts all create a lively atmosphere with a generally congenial undertone.

The post that the OP was alluding to was an eye-opener for me.  I am certainly not an insider here.  But I have formed impressions of many hobbyists and providers by their posts - and their pictures of course ;) .

While the now infamous thread was a bit of train wreck ugly, it did illuminate certain aspects of personalities that I might never otherwise have known.  I have always believed that adversity reveals character far more than prosperity does.  I think this was a prime example.

The follow-up post by upncummin52 seems to indicate that there was an undercurrent of tension related to this issue that had been simmering for a while.  Better to have it come out in a (relatively) harmless flame-war here than to have it build up to something real-world nasty.  Kind of like having a few periodic market corrections rather than a long, uninterrupted period of false optimism resulting in a catastrophic landslide.  Stop me if you've heard something like this before.

Either way, it is inevitable that, within a large group of people, there will always be personalities that clash.  It is how we deal with those conflicts that determines how well the group, as a whole, will fare now and in the future.

{end of spewing soap-box drivel}

I need to get laid!  And soon, obviously  ;)
