Click the link below. Prime example why guys should not give personal information to ANY provider and instead should use screening services like DATECHECK AND P411 and roomservice2000.

This seem to have become a common theme these days that if you give a provider a less than average rating or you cancel an appointment because something came up and cant make the appointment (even with enough notice to the lady), or any other reason, the lady may make your life a living hell.

Me personally, if my TER whitelists, or my 15 references on datecheck or 9 P411 ok's is not enough and the provider still wants my personal info, well, she can take a hike cause she aint getting it. Unless she is willing to show me her drivers license and give me her personal info too. Too many providers in this industry to worry about setting up an appointment with one that DEMANDS to have it or she wont book you.

TER WL and P411 is all they get from me... and I've had no problem seeing anyone.

Put very nicely, and I reiterate that 1000%.  In all my years of hobbying I've only had one lady that would not see me because I wouldn't give her my entire name and place of work.

And we all know the personal information is NEVER destroyed.

Just what is TER afraid of.  A prostitute suing a prostitute advertising board for loss of business?
I think not!  Total joke! There are no legal ramifications!
They will ban or delist a provider for silly infractions, but protect her when she uses the info she keeps (forever) to destroy a hobbyist. (he must have shorted the envelope by $10, or gave her a lower score on a review than she wanted).

Any lady that DEMANDS all kinds of private info gets a pass by me.  I understand her need for assurance that I'm not LE, or a serial rapist, but not my work place info, birthdate, etc!

This isn't the first time this has happened to a hobbyist, and I'm sure won't be the last, and TER wants to stand up for the ladies doing this???!!!

That's just great!

It seems to me that with all of the social and legal complications that can potentially arise from this hobby, and the opportunity for dramatic impact to an individual's life, that the first and immutable rule here is "thou shalt not out anybody, anywhere, ever."

So here's the thing (at least to me)...it appears that on another TER regional board there has been a serious, and at least at face value a supportable allegation that someone in their community has violated that rule for some personal reason or another.  Rather than responding to this directly we seem to have started some sort of whispering campaign along the lines of "PM me if you want to know who did this."  I'm not sure I get the point in that approach.

I definitely understand the sense of outrage at such a thing...and I certainly get the expressions of anger...and the advice on how to avoid this sort of thing from happening to you.  It also seems to me, however, that if someone in this community has violated our general (and at as far as I can tell accepted) trust, then we should all know about that without having to go listen to the whispers at the fence....

My $0.02....

If said provider on the other board provides the info via private message then TER has nothing to do with it. However, if TER lets the information be publically posted then as stated on the other board this is a litigious society and you can never tell how a law suit comes out -- escorting isn't illegal (no I am not believing everything wouldn't come out in a court of law, but still) so who knows what would happen. Ok - a question for you -- do you know coffee is hot? Do you believe everyone knows coffee is hot? Then how does a lady go through McDonalds drive through and successfully sue McDonalds because the coffee was too hot -- she didn't order an ice coffee so as I said you can't tell what will happen in a jury trial. The coffee thing may not be the best example, but all I could think of off the top of my head.

My question now is what happens if this provider decides that the damn winter is way too long and cold next Jaunary, and decides to leave the Windy City to tour in Florida for awhile?  By not doing anything publicly, TER is opening all of us for exposure.

I have been exposed by name, occupation, physical description, and "funny" referances to some of my medical problems on a regional board other than TER.  The two major moderators were out of town and assuming the other one was minding the store while I was getting ripped apart of a board that I was not a member of and could not even join (no one minding the store).  The providers involved are still working the hobby but as far as I can tell, nothing ever happened to them (and thank the gods, to me either).

There has got to be something we can do.
