...sometimes things happen in our personal lives (both sides) that take precedent, and you get back to the other "party" later. it's really better to hold off posting on this a few days on a matter like this untill it's 'cleared' up. if still no communication from her, then post on the board. sorry for your bad experience today, that does suck. hopeflly you wern't already on the road or waiting @ hotel. she does have a pretty good rep.

As the one who recommended her to you, I apologize.  There is no excuse for not calling, texting or returning emails.

But, keep in mind Sofl, that our hobbyist is a newbie and has no reviews, and possibly something spooked Mariposa. How many of us would like to be in the ladies shoes???????

when his last contact was with Mariposa?  Also, was he supposed to confirm 24 hours in advance?

I saw her a couple years ago in a funky motel and although I booked for two hours, I left after one. Maybe things have changed but at the time it was a so-so experience. Too much talk about her kids,  her boyfriend....she just unloaded on me, so it wasn't very romantic. Maybe I caught her at a bad time. Her boyfriend was across the hall in another room, with the door propped open, which was also a little unsettling. In those days, I also heard that her boyfriend wrote most of her stellar reviews, but I only heard about that after our encounter.

This, of course, has nothing to do with anything, but I've wanted to comment on her, and find out if anyone else has had a less than wonderful experience.

I no longer wear my priest garb to get togethers...cuts down on the personal unloading I have to listen to, I get enough of that at the "office"

Shit happens, maybe not fair, but alas is life.

Have seen her numerous times and we have both had to cancel on each other and each time the makeup fun was even more so.

If she didnt show, then something happened...life happens, even in this world !

I would have waited a few days before posting here and waited for comment from her...sorry it happened, but I am sure she has a valid reason.

At times I have a reluctance to post a review if it seems 'off' compared to the rest of hers... doesn't happen often... only once for me.

Outing someone here serves a purpose for a NCNS, as there is going to be no review.  But if you had a bad experience, with a date that did happen, post a review.  That's the reason we have them (other than the guys who spend more time reviewing themselves  LOL)!  That review stays, and if she has a lot of good reviews, and you have a rotten experience, after you tell it, you can always say...well maybe she had a bad day, or the ever famous YMMV!  That is your out for letting other guys know.."hey, not every date with this lady is great"!

I had a situation a long time ago for a couple of my reviews of two well known ladies in my area (Holly & Ruby) that kept getting rejected after multiple edits and updates.  After multiple attempts over weeks I just gave up. I e-mailed admin. about it but, it never got resolved. Since my reviews would have been similar to what they already had in their review history (8/9, 8/8) I didn't pursue it any further feeling the lack of my review wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Good point.....I thought the experience was unremarkable enough to just let it go and chalk it up to wrong place, wrong time.

I’ve known Mariposa for quite some time and she has one of the most consistent positive reputations in SoFl on this board and another local review site.
With that said she can be difficult to reach however once initial contact is made very professional. She uses a common two call system a couple of hours/hour prior to the date I have no idea in what stage of the process Carman was in before he wrote this NCNS. If he spoke with her the day of, confirmed a time and either got or gave directions and the date didn’t then happen he was no showed and is owed an apology. In every case except a freak emergency (which might be the case I don’t know) not calling or sending a text/email whatever is unacceptable. If there was no confirmation/ communication the day of or no directions given etc I would NOT consider this a NCNS. As mentioned we’ll have to wait to hear back from Carman on this. Therefore I reserve judgment till then.
Wilco while I wasn’t with you on your date and don’t doubt you didn’t have the experience you were looking for I like others question why no review considering you gave what I would say is some very pertainate information that most hobbyists would find valuable “A boyfriend across the hall with the door open during a date”? Are you sure you are talking about the same Mariposa? I find it hard to believe I’m not sure when you saw her but she’s had a private incall for quite sometime, which reminds me I’m due to write her a review I saw her Sat night and had a great knock down drag out 2hr good time          

This hobbyist is not a newbie.  He doesn't post much, but has many references, which he offered to give her.  They communicated and she confirmed and then disappeared the day of the appointment. Regardless, she should have touched base with him if she intended to cancel.

Mariposa has one of the best reputations in south florida. Don't forget that she is a person first and people have things that happen that they need to take care of. And she stated this is what she was doing. Why create all this drama, why not find out what happened first, if there was even a date setup, and then Mariposa has a sterling reputation to making things right.

I recommended Mariposa to this hobbyist who is a personal friend of mind AND an experienced hobbyist, just not a prolific poster.  I recommended her because of her excellent reputation. I made sure he did things the right way throughout the process and followed the proper protocol.  If you want to attack my credentials and guidance, then have at it.

Maripossa, nobody is blaming you for having something else come up, it happens to all of us.  If a simple email, text or call were made to cancel, this thread would have never happened.  To call him out as a "Crybaby" and to deny he never contacted you is bad form, IMO.  

Putting information out is what this board is for.  It may be an isolated incident and if so, no harm will be done to a provider with an otherwise sterling reputation.  But before we lynch this guy, let's get some perspective and remember what THE EROTIC REVIEW is really for.
