I haven't viewed your profile or marketing, so please take this for what it is-general advice, which your post sounded like you may be open to hearing ideas.
As a provider who has lived in a few different cities and worked in various markets, I found some places just weren't for me, while others were and are consistently excellent markets for me.
There are always timewasters and such when you go to a new market and even when you return to a familiar one, as I recently have here in South Florida. They are just a cost of doing business that over time, combined with solid screening, you see it coming a mile away and know not to book it.
That said, hang in there, if you really want to stay. (Just don't burn the bridge while you're still standing on it!) It's a great community here. Maybe take a break or tour. New faces, new places can be refreshing and give you perspective.
Also, be honest with yourself (not saying you are not) about any small changes you might could bring to your image you project, as in this post. I'm putting this more kindly than most will, but I often find if I let myself reevaluate things over time, I find fault in my approach or how I handled a particular situation. Like noticing patterns of behavior and the red flag that was overlooked, etc.
I truly mean no offense and wish you the best. I could feel the angst in your post and I hope you find where you are happiest. (Though in my experience, it's mostly trade offs no matter where you choose to locate.)
